I am currently reading the 2005 book writen by James Grogan about his labador retriever named Marley. This dog he claims is the world's worst dog. As a former lab owner and current large dog master I find Grogan's book to be very funny.
I am of the opinion that there are two types of labs. One mellow the other bouncing off walls. Marley was not the former. Mine, George, was the latter. She makes my pyrenese appear as a saint. As much as I'd like another lab for outdoor purposes I think I will stay away from that breed. For that matter I plan to avoid golden retrievers as well since Sammy is destroying my mother's house as I type this.
Anyone considering a lab should read this first. Actually, anyone considering a large dog should read this. Informativve and full of humor. Despite passages of despair in trying get his wife to successfully bear children the book moves fast.
