Just wondering if you consider yourself comfortable with talking to the opposite (or same) sex in the pursuit of sex or a relationship or whatever

I used to be unable to make eye contact with women, much less talk to them. Then, last week :p ...I mean, over a number of years :nervous: I found myself more able to communicate simply because my job in the exciting world of grocery store employment required it, and it turned out that not only was I comfortable flirting with girls, I was actually good at it

Now if I could just talk them out of their clothes and into my bed....sorry, that's inappropriate :nervous:

Anyway, anyone else here gifted with the ability to flirt? I'm alright as is, but could always use tips...I mean, all the other losers who can't look a woman in the eyes on this site, they might need some help :p

Yeah, the "confidence" is wearing off a bit

All my life I've been comfortable hanging out with men. Does that make me a flirt? I don't think so... but I think we all flirt, one way or another, with people we are attracted to -- it's human nature.

As for advice, I venture to say that the art of flirting nonverbally is much more subtle and perhaps more effective with women. You can capture a girl's attention with your eyes even across a room. Also, men who can really dance are getting harder to find.

The art of flirting verbally is quite easy, I think. Just take a drink or two and suddenly you will find it easy to be Mr. Confident. Just don't push the envelope too much - let the woman set the pace. Otherwise, she'll be showing you the front door, rather than the bedroom door....

one more thing -- why anime porn? Is that like a fetish of yours?

i believe i previously answered in a previous thread that yes i am a flirt, but not a big one.

it depends how comfortable i am with the guy, but it tends to be subtle. sometimes a little too subtle.

More like a fetish of the kind of guys who never talk to real girls, only the ones they meet online...wait, I walked right into that one, didn't I? :nervous:

hmmm. I think that was Freudian...!

I never could understand anime porn....maybe someone can explain to me the thrill? If not, that's fine -- it can stay a mystery to me, I suppose.

flattery can get you/ he /she / anybody probably anywhere. same with looks. might be able to get somebody into any door but it's what you do once there.. make any sense.

you can get the interview but not the job. if it's strictly for the pursuit of sex or a relationship-just maybe trying to sense out that the other person is on the same track.

the thrill of the chase can be a lot of fun even if not in pursuit of anything. a flirt or just giving as good as taking...don't know.the question was..

Nope. Can't flirt. Can't make eye contact. Can't find a person who wouldn't mind eye contact or talking to me.

It's all about confidence, man. Even if you're faking it, you can get by with an attitude that's positive (but not arrogant).

Trust me, I'm the miserable bastard of this board. I know of what I speak. Once you get into the rut of thinking "I'm not worthy", be prepared to lose a lot of friends who know you're full of it and that you do have something to offer to the opposite sex. :nonono:

But, the thing is, I know I have nothing to offer. I see the other guys at my school - they're attractive, intelligent, interesting, and have money. I have acne, a fat face, and frizzy hair, so no girl would go for me. My grades aren't bad, but I don't talk intelligently, so that's one more point lost in my favor. And I have no money. I just buy my books and weekly food, other than that, I can't afford to buy a girl anything. So, do I really have anything to offer? Not really. And confidence will just make me seem cocky.

step one: relax, and try giving less of a fuck.

step two: be friendly

step three: talk slowly and with some purpose on subjects you both relate to (avoid redundancy, or talking about things that are only applicable to you)

step four: once you've engaged in some interaction, stop paying attention to the girls that can't relate to your most basic of interests and/or intelligence level.

step five: keep in mind, not every girl is looking for a rich, great looking guy. most guys like that are tools to begin with

step six: internalise this information and "be" it, don't just think it.

step seven: lemme know how it turns out.

Yeah, I do tend to use the forum to air out a lot of my personal-life issues

I look forward to the day when all my posts are about how tired I am from all the sex I've had the night before. But the sheep won't sit still long enough....okay, I've gone too far :nervous:

I apologize :p

Eh? What's happened here?

Nah, don't flirt.

Actually I am quite the flirt-I have a sense of humor and love to play. I look to have fun and a good laugh. I don't take it too seriously. If you cannot carry a conversation or the "spark" is not there-NEXT!

tho I do admit to the nerves when my hormones kick in "oooh look at that!" Just take a deep breath and

Too true! ooh the arrogance! and so boring really!

Women tell me I am cute and charming. One night at a bar I had a female friend of mine (21 quite the cutie) who was soooo drunk kiss me on both cheeks! All the guys who were actually *into her* got nothing!

oh my the irony!

What is more ironic is I had a guy friend or two ask my advice on how to get the girl they want!

then, maybe, tell your friend(the guy) to be an ass & the complete opposite of what might be helpful--then say, take the girl/ lady for yourself. :conscience:

be humble, honest, and self confident. the good ones will find you, and as long as you can ward off the ones that will simple take advantage of you and break yer heart, all will be well.

it's kinda a zen sorta thing, i guess. maybe i'll go eat some more granola and meditate on it...

Yeah, that's more what I'm trying to go for in my own life right now. I've done the "pity me, I'm a miserable bastard" routine long enough. It's not still 1996 and I'm not the same spotty teenager who can't get a date (well, I haven't had a date in a while, but it's just because I haven't had the balls really). I'm a good guy, and I can be a really good boyfriend to whatever female that wants that.

Unfortunately, most of the ones who I want would like a guy who treats them like shit. That's something I'll never do, no matter how much my self-esteem might boost or burst :thumb:

So anyway, it's easy to piss and moan about how you "can't get any" when you're not even trying. But try, and try often, and you might just find things aren't as bad as you think. I'm not quite sure I believe that myself right now, it just seems to sound good :p
