Well, in French, WORK is TRAVAIL. If you look at the origin of this word, it comes from the same latin root than TORTURE. So TORTURE=TRAVAIL=WORK

i dare say that work is of an germanic root. in german there is a word called werken, which means manual labour. wirken also a german word means the same as functioning.

Well, Ed, I just got upset that Burt thought I was a man. What happened was that he went to my audioblog and listened to my posts and made that assumption.
