no reason, other than it is simpler and quicker to type this way.
i reckon that with english have so little capitalisation anyway, it could so away with using capitals except in names.

Oh yeah?
Well ASK ROCKET if you DARE bwahahahahaha ![]()
I still type with capital letters at the beginning for the sake of convention. But I also use internet abbreviations and lower case.
I try and maintain the same standard of written English on the Internet as I do when writing letters, etc. I do tend to end my sentences with a series of dots, though... And I still feel the need to sign my posts with my name and a few kisses, even though it is a pain to keep doing...

I tend to miss caps a lot because of poor interdigital syncronisation (ie getting my shift finger and my letter finger to register with the machine co-inidentally).
as you may have noticed, I have a real problem for some reason capitalising your name maya, I mean Maya.

Take one of these online typing 'tests' which calculates speed and accuracy. You'll lose points for not using that shift key!!! Don't want to boast, but the last test I took told me I type 82wpm!
Pah, up yer arse...it's not about speed...unless Bert Bheedon or whatever the fuck you call him is the world's greatest guitarist cos he can play 6000 notes a minute :D
Considering I have yet to find a PC keyboard I enjoy using, I claim faulty equipment.
