Anyone else ever a fan?!

We've only just had Season 1 finally released on DVD over here, and I've only made it through the first disc, but What A Show!

Best police series we had on these shores in the Eighties. Amazing how everything else now seems to resemble this though, but it seemed so unique in its day.

Superb characterisation with people you genuinely seem to give a shit about.

Never quite got the allure of Joyce Davenport when I was younger but now that I'm much older, and wiser, she'd definitely get it. :nod:

i remember watching it a few times as a kid, i remember one episode where they arrested a fat guy for going to a all you can eat restaurant sitting right at the buffet table eating everything in site. honestly at the time i thought T.J. Hooker & C.H.I.P.S. were much better :laugh: hey i was 9!

i have to check out the HSB's DVD's

i never watched it either. being a kid i always thought of it as being too much like visual sandpaper, what with the gritty cop theme (which it may have had, i don't know). so i watched st. elsewhere, hunter, miami vice and the A-team instead. then LA law when it came out.

its on E4 or more 4 or it might be ITV3/4 i can't remember which, anyway its on everyday

i was a really big fan of Nip/Tuck, but the final season (#3) got me a little disappoined (too "fictional" in the bad way)

ok i'll admit i never really got into it. it always seemed a bit too slow. but it supposed to be a really great show.

not kidding there. amazing show. the DVD releases are making a well deserved splash. great story lines, mixed strong characters, gritty filming from what, think, was hand/ shoulder whatever held cameras. just excellent, and back in the 80 s was on endless re-runs.. very cool.

Loved the series when it first came out and FURILLO's(sic-sorry i can't spell) woman was ALWAYS class to me.It was those lovely EYES. Rocket Mick
