Place bets now.
Last week, when our clocks went forward, we had one of the people who sometimes sits in on out course drumming it in to our heads, telling us she had reminders set to change her clocks, and that she wouldnt forget but 'theres always one'. She wasnt so smug when she was an hour late the next day though...![]()
Especially when you're at training for half 7 anyway, so that becomes half 6. Which means getting up at 6 becomes getting up at 5...
One of my least favourite days of the year; if I'm gonna lose an hour's sleep, I'd like it to be when I decide to.

I agree, Green!

I think you're taking too much delight in reminding us Yankees that the Aussies are gaining an hour.

Hey.. dont worry.. they are all largely descended from convicts, their toilets flush around the wrong way, and they lost the Ashes.

Your remarks do comfort me, Burt!
But Australia does have Peta Wilson...rawr! :)
There is a part of Indiana that refuses to follow daylight savings time.
Little factiod for ya.![]()
oh yeah -- thanks for reminding us, Cath.
I think it's Madison, right?
But what I like about Indiana is that the state has a town called Floyds Knob. At least they have a sense of humor!

Isn't Eerie in Indiana?
and can anyone tell me where I've heard of Eerie, Indiana from, cos I can't remember?
also.. is it eerie?
Eerie, Indiana was a television show from the early 90's. Always had good reviews, but I never caught an episode, sadly it appears.
There's also Erie, as in the Canal and one of the Great Lakes.

if it were up to me we'd have permanent daylight savings time, and an extra hour in winter. who wants to come home in the dark. i don't give a toss about having daylight in the mornings.
I still wonder why people think you lose an hour of sleep... do you REALLY get up 1 hour early on sunday? ![]()
Screw that, I'll be up at 10 instead of 9, it's sunday damn it ![]()

The states of Arizona and Hawaii are also quite indifferent to DST as well...
Our daylight savings time begins on the first Sunday in April at 2AM. Right now, it's 12:39 in the East Coast.
In response to Johnny's post.

[magenta]cozmonite61[/magenta] wrote: You're lucky Twatto. My college days start in the morning.
Yeah well most of mine do. Monday is the exception. Which is probably the best day to have a late start on. Im just terrible with mornings though.
Goddamn Virgin Mobile. If they can sign the Sex Pistols and sponsor ultraindurance airflights why the fook can't they provide a telephone service that recognizes DST or provide phones that the clock can be programed?
DOH!!! Shut off phone, restart to reestablish contact with mothership. Still, they should have printed this in the manual.

powering off my cell phone did not help.
Instead, it wasn't until 4 pm Pacific that Cingular finally got off their asses to recognize daylight savings time.

If you had a portable DVD, you could have spent the time catching up on Green Acres or The Avengers episodes!
