I'm confused reading all these posts.

Is the official day today, or yesterday?!

Like April Fool's Day, is the joke actually on you if you make a snipe too late after the event?!

Or is it just Open Season on Liam, as it appears to be at the moment?! :uhoh:

He has sown the wind, now he must reap the whirlwind.

PS Liam and I managed a civil discussion yesterday, and on a point we disagreed on too!

Anyone who hates Clive Tyldsley more than I do is fine by me.

Yeah, because i'm distraught that the likes of you and owens are taking a few pops at me.

The only thing that bothers me is the ridiculously low standard of these so called attacks on me.

Good, I'm pleased that the low standards of these have left you with no choice but to reply to them. Nice to see you think of us.

BTW, when are you going to reply to the points made in the Killing Joke thread?

Al this kind of thread never achieves the intended aim. i know so from my own experiences.

Its only a website at the end of the day. Does anyone really give a fuck on who picks on who, I don't.

The support slot in big venues? Maybe the crowd just thought they were shite.

Killing Joke belong to a genre which markets itself. The whole goth metal thing. If you are a goth metal band who cant sell any records despite being around for decades, then you must be really shite. Especially if the sad goths wont buy your records.

Your point about ACR suggests that you have never listened to them. And being on the only label which didnt seem to care about selling truckloads of records. Proof again you dont know what your talking about.

Now please, dont let this thread descend into an argument about Killing Joke. You can start another thread which no one cares about for that.

Wrong. Each night they were cheered, and there was a deep respect by the audience of KJ.

Your point about goth metal suggests you have never listened to them. What makes them goth? Because Jaz wears face paint? You don't have a clue then.

But if we were to take them as a goth band, then goth metal is not a big selling category anyway, bar the likes of Marylin Manson, who is very commercial. The Misfits aren't big sellers, neither are Corrosion of Conformity, or Switchblade Symphony or Paradise Lost, but they are respected, and people still turn out to see them.

I don't have a clue what you're on about here. You said, basically, that if they are still around after all these years, and are playing venues like the Academy 2, then they must be shite. ACR, who supported KJ a few times, still do this if I'm correct.

It's nice to see that you've taken the time to reply back to these points, and that you are suitably annoyed enough to suggest my opinion doesn't matter. Good.

I always thought punk was an attack on prog rock that took itself ever so seriously, you can hardly say that of Gong.

Besides, stick TotP on some time and see how much punk is left...the current crop of top 40 music seems to have taken punk's ethos of "talentless twats can make music" and grafted it on to the worst evils of the music biz's marketing machine..hence, Kelly Osborne can have hits.

Maybe I'm just a really thick twat, but if you said KJ to me, I'd probably have said "punk".

And KJ started in 1979.

And covered 'Bodies'

And supported JD.

Hardly prog.
