I heard about this on Jeopardy! a few days ago. Weird that the two meet.

Edit: This is the first time I've seen it, and I don't know what to think of it. The climactic music creeped me out and would easily make a kid cry. Is this supposed to be a comedy?

We had a video called Dinosaur Movies that we purchased for our first born. Must have been someones disertation on dinosaur films. Anyway, that clip was on there.

I think I understand why our dear Cozzie has so much trouble with conceptualizig the world.

She is, I believe from Japanese extraction....meaning that she shares a large amount of DNA with the people who made (and later translated) Zero Wing.

I always loved how the credits were longer than the actual film, and that it was the same guy for everything. I think I saw this a few times on TV as a kid. Sister hated it, but I would laugh uncontrolablly.

Didn't know Cozie was of Japanese decent. Since you speak Japanese my guess is your at least second generation, where is your family from? My wife is from Okinawa. I was stationed there for two years and traveled to mainland everyso often.

To All, I am half-Okinawan from my mother's side, and my Dad is a retired American Marine. I have lived in Okinawa before moving to the States. I can speak Japanese very fluently, however I couldn't read kanji (Chinese calligraphy). So, I'm taking Japanese classes in college.

Edit: Saw the clip Steve and observed the blatant grammatical error. If you want to see something that is grammatically wrong in Japanese-English translation, go rent "Lost in Translation".

There's a SERIOUS point in tho...Japanese does not one-to-one trnaslate to English very well at all....it's something to do with the structure of the Japanese Language, which is in turn APPARENTLY to do with a slight difference in the thingy that syncronises the two hemispheres of the brain, weird eh? The upshot of it all is there is less seperation between the logical and artistic hemisphers....hence the Japanese way of naming very technical things with names or descruptions of quite profound lyrical beauty......and also why Japanese technical manuals are so hilarious.

My mother's from Naha, but I lived in Yomitan-san. I don't know what base Dad was transferred to; he retired before I was born. He started an Italian restaurant in the Kincho/Camp Hansen area. It's not there anymore.

Wife's from Naha, Shuri area (a few blocks away from the castle). What was the name of the resturant, and about what time was it around? Probably don't know it, but you never know.

It was called Italian Kitchen. My dad operated it until 1994. It closed shortly after, maybe around 1997.
