My firstborn child has today left for a week's schoolcamp. First ever week away from his mum and will he miss me? Of course not, he'll be having a great time

I always get that guilty feeling when I dump them off at their grandparents so Wifey and I can spend time alone, sometimes up to a week. That is unless they have really pissed me off. My youngest started preschool this year so I no longer hav anyone with me if I have a day off or work a late shift.
The longest Derek and I have managed to get away is three days. No-one would have my kids for any longer than that :D
Anyway, this is different. Life goes on as per usual but we're one short!
actually the wee fella wasn't too happy with me anyway because I installed a new desktop at home:
he's a hibee, like his dad :D

My dad is a Hibee too! I'm continually bombarded by emails, texts and calls, Hibs are hard to avoid!

Looks like I've been punished plenty for my little jibe at the Hibees.
We got told earlier this week that the driver, in charge of the double decker bus with my kid and 50 others on it, was DRUNK! How the f*cking teachers never noticed anything is beyond me. The guy was three times over the limit when he got stopped on his way back with the empty. And it wasn't from a lunchtime drink, he'd been on the piss the night before apparently... A three hour journey! It doesn't bear thinking about what could have happened.
Tonight they'll be coming back and I won't rest until my boy is safe at home.
Give him a big hug when you see him, then have a wonderful, relaxing and peaceful long weekend and then nail the bastards next week...
