more temp woes

from my journal:

The temp working for me went off on a tirade about something I asked him to do. Saying that he was never shown the process and it doesn't make any sense and making masked digs at me. It wasn't fun. Normally I let his moods go because he works quickly and understands most things. But he's fallen into a trap of thinking for himself and doing things he wasn't asked to do (and doing them incorrectly). He basically resents having to send everything by me first. It's getting crazy

So I got firm and loud and told him that it was explained to him, and I am too busy to constantly explain things and he needs to get them THE FIRST TIME.

He's now crying.

WTF?

I made a 30 year old man cry. What did you do today?

well yesterday we had a work lunch, and then we went to see navy play army in australian rules football. it was a good game.

i haven't made anybody cry yet, as i just got up, but i'll see what i can do.

I made an employee cry yesterday, does that count? She was only 19 and not 30 though.

A 30 year old that cries? Who would've thought it until you added this part. That sentence probably makes no sense but I'm tired.

He's trying to make you feel guilty. Don't back off or he will think he found you weakness and try to use it all the time. If he's 30 he knows better and thinks he's clever, as it's a nonviolent way to make you back off. Don't buy it for a minute.

he would be sobbing if he knew you were posting this online. Not too hard to find this. You could use a little more tact than that.
