All music mags are shit because each editor has their favourite's who they push to death and it becomes boring reading about kaiser cheifs, artic monkeys, etc all the time.

Gee... the only one I know is obviously Penny Lane, then Suburbia (Pet Shop Boys) and Common People by Pulp.
I know most artist, but not the track in particular...

Now that I've thought about the list a little bit, and without having seen the magazine, I'd further venture that all of the track have some connection, with "British Life". There's no other reason for some of the lesser tracks by artists like The Clash being there.
That being said, where's The Kinks? and Life In A Northern Town? ;)
