All of my female friends, especially the prettiest ones, always, ALWAYS, when put in a room with about 50 men, WITHOUT FAIL pick the ugliest, worst one who always treats them badly and cheats on them. All the nice ones get ignored. At one time or another they have all had a nice guy for a boyfriends and then my friends cheat on them I Don't get it, its awful, so I'm staying out of the whole ugly teenage dating scene. I'm sick of seeing my friends treated so badly, but THEY are the ones making bad choices - so its a catch 22 I guess.
Exactly right. Every guy-- jerk and "nice guy"-- knows this. And you know what causes women to finally, finally, finally stop trying to turn jerks into "nice guys"? Experience.
Which ususally coincides with losing their looks. ![]()

Because I've been the "Nice Guy" before (the jerk underneath that I think all guys have would sometimes come out), and I'd like to think I grew out of that at some point.
Then I start making Cozzie uncomfortable with all my groping, and it's all downhill
C.M doesn't take this guy:
At one end, are the guys who are just pure and simple good guys, decent people, humanly flawed perhaps but nonetheless likable *and* lovable, caring and smart, who have a lot to offer. Ironically, these guys often do not realize just how wonderful they are and how much they are valued by the people around them, and sometimes they even suffer crippling shyness/low self-esteem. I am fortunate to know, and have known, and to be related to, an unusually high number of guys towards this end of the spectrum.
into account. So let's take this genuinely nice guy (lower case) who is a bit shy and awkawrd with women. Let's call him, oh, I don't know, let's just call him "Tabbsy." ![]()
So "Tabbsy" thinks he'd like to get to know some girl he meets, but he doesn't know what to do, so he gets to know her first. Then he becomes friends with her. Then he really, really, really starts to like her, and by the time he's ready to ask her out, he's got a huge, huge crush on her (let's not call it "love."). Which, of course, is the wrong approach, because he's already gone before he's even asked her out.
Now I axe you, is that a guy who's devious, or a guy who's shy and unsure of himself?

Tabbsy, have you been drinking too much?
I don't like your final statement. ![]()
