what the fook does it mean actually: is listening to NO trendy? or it is only about new clothes, or maybe a style of our behavior. How to describe trendy? Who is and whos not? And finally is to be trendy important?

Listening to NO over here isn't trendy because they get no radio play and aren't popular. If it's a top 40 hit, then it's trendy to listen to that song.
NO is trendy with me also. I thought they were has-beens but upon hearing the release of WFTSC and listening to their music, NO has changed my life.

Exactly, it's the obscure bands that put out one EP on a small British label in 1979, then folded a year later and never played another gig, that are the most fun to discover when you're first getting into punk and/or new wave. If they had sold a million albums in their day, it wouldn't be fun to seek them out. 
i don't think NO are trendy,although it seems to be trendy to drop the NO/JD name or comparrison in the music press/media these days. people at work keep teling me i need to move on and stop listening to 'shit' music....they listen to tupac, james blunt

i'd rather be untrendy and listen to NO than the heap of shit i hear coming from there stereos
same here - I am untrendy cos I listen to no and other stuff out of top40s. I dont wear that stupid shining clothes mtv-like. So, there is a simple conclusion: untrendy means fookin boring. ???

styles and behaviors can be trendy. But mostly for people that don't think for themselves. Emma Peel pls. help me out here. Boots are classic and the different styles can be a current trend. Blundstone/ high boot/ Low whatever.
New Order are not a trend, they're Here To Stay. Trends only tend to be important to those wishing to portray a current $ image - and not much that can be considered to be is classic.

what drives me crazy are the orthodox punk (or anyone) guys who will say how influential their dirtbag punk bands are and that makes them better than ANYONE!!!

That sounds about right. also, is a shame that when something might start out a fantastic idea, everybody and their horse gets involved and interested. The SunDance Film Festival is an example of it.
Maintain your style of dress, taste in music, lifestyle, hairstyle, etc. for long enough and you'll be trendy for 9 months or so... When Mummy Snorri used to moan at Daddy Snorri because of the state of his wardrobe, the reply was always "In 5 years time, it'll all be trendy again..." And he was right...
