I can relate to that, and it irritates me when things like that occur. Are all of the tickets for the same offense? Hopefully you can prove that you were indeed unloading.
A co-worker was tickted for unloading in an alleyway last year, even with the hazards on, by a cop with nothing better to do. The co-worker had no other place to park around this business. Paradoxically, whenever we deliver to the local county courthouse, full of cops, they take no notice of when we double park in the street.
I personally find the attendants who work college campuses here to be the worst of 'em all; it seems like they'll be all too eager looking for the person who's meter ran out, and not for things like parking in a loading zone.
I wasn't actually doing any loading, but I can fake invoices Green, and i won't have to pay. I had 26/26 successful appeals last year.
What annoys me is that they are issued in the first place; the fine increases four fold, with around 8 different threatening letters arriving before the 'right of appeal', which needs to be filled in comprehensively with photocopies of invoices etc. When they acknowledge the right of appeal, it will be upheld instantly, possibly by computer.
All of this takes time, and all of these are going to arrive at once, wasting an afternoon for me or my staff. My main concern is that this is a change in policy, cos its a joke, and will drive many out of business, especially the ones who are too frightened to appeal.
