attitude, all about attitude. have been speaking w/ my mum about the splastic fans when she was growing up. That the big matches were just more expensive with the Footie being just as watchable/ even more viscious for the smaller clubs.. she's still following the same clubs. Two Ronnies is an old clean laugh. 'night all.

I've seen New York City coppers who looked like they needed a lollipop.

Wish I could still see, that's all I'll say. Reading glasses would fix that, but :nono:

Ihear you! My Marines are all 18 years old, so they are constantly amazing me on thier lack of kinowledge of the last 20 years. Example: I was on a deployment to AZ, and I drove the van with 18 guys in it. They would only listen to rap and Nirvana (nothing Nirvana like either). Since I don't have much rap on my Ipod, I tought I'd treat them with some old school Run DMC, Raisin' Hell album. They told me to turn it off and they thought it was terrible. I asked them if they even knew who it was; they didn't. I told them "Run DMC", they had NO clue who they were. About two days later, checking up on them at the hotel roomks, and what are they all watching? But Run's House on MTV. Asked if they knew who he was, and they said some old rapper.

Is it just me or is this dumbfounding? I mean they don't have to like it, but to not know the founders of the music you're listening to?????? It's like listening to any rock band and not ever knowing who Elvis is.

Anyways they're alwaysmaking me feel real old.

Rap rap, ribbity rap rap, rip rop ribbity do!

Rap Street was a TV show sketch which appeared twice on Saturday Night Live. The hosts of Rap Street, Grandmaster Rap (a take-off on Grandmaster Flash played by Jerry Minor) and Kid Shazzam (Horatio Sanz) were caricatures of old school rappers who hearkened back to the early days of rap. They would often refer to their time spent in the Vietnam War, mention friends of theirs who had great-grandchildren or hip problems, and use plural forms where they didn't belong (i.e. "Vietnams", "hip-hops"). They spoke out against profanity in rap music, saying things like, "We didn't rap about givin' your man friend fellat-i-os. We rapped about good stuff like sneakers." They would begin and end each show with a similar simplistic rap which went "Rap rap, ribbity rap rap, rip rop ribbity do!"
