If there is a pin on the Fantasy Premier League 2005/06 thread, then I feel there should be one here as well.

Ok day one is over! And no upsets yet. Give the Flames a big cheer! Yea it was overtime, but it was perfect Flames hockey. The one good thing about the Flames is that they have been playing Playoff hockey all season, so they dont need to change their style.

I'm sad for Edmonton, they should have had it. (what a sucky last goal) Way to go Ottawa. (What a 3rd period)Nashville vs San Jose (Who cares)

Ok Montreal, show us what you got! (I will be watching)

I don't think we need to pin this thread Jim... just bookmark it.

We're only 7 or 8 fans on this whole website apparently, while for soccer, they are legions.

I put on my playoffs avatar :evil4:

Get a canadian dish frank, that should do the job :evil4:

Yeah, my Habs did very well tonight, I admit I was scared at the beginning, but they recovered and played an almost perfect game.

When Huet is doing well and Kovalev wants to play, this team is unbeatable.

But they didn't end the season well, so I was kind of scared. I'll wait, as far as I know we won the first game against Carolina the last time we face them 3 years ago and we lost the serie...

My Brother-in-law lives in Detroit and called me to brag about Detroit beating Edmonton (Find and dandy exept I live in Calgary) But he was telling me, he watches hockey on CBC. So I guess they get CBC in Detroit.

Does anyone remember the red mile and the Flames Girls, well the city & police said no to this year and they had all their cops there to make sure it didn't happen again. But after the Flames won, thousands of people came to the red mile and police were quickly outnumbered, so it's back!

Detroit is so close to Sudbury, it's obvious they get CBC... just like here we can get Vermont TV with a normal antenna.

What a bad day, (exept for Edmonton) all away teams winning.

Calgary should have had that 4th goal. I can't believe we missed it.

Yea the bad thing about living here is that we are alone. We have Edmonton 2 1/2 hours from us, but thats it. Vancouver and Seatle are about 9 hours from us. And Salt Lake City about 12 hours from us.

Well, all series tonight went 1-1.

I really hope my Habs can make it 2-0 tomorrow, this will be huge if they do (I don't expect them to)

Honestly, I doubt Gerber can be that bad 2 games in a row... but as well as Huet is doing, as well will this team do.

He was the hottest goalie of the NHL in the last 2 months with 7 shutouts and a GAA/SVPCT beyond belief.

Go Habs Go ;)

2-0 Habs lead over Carolina.

What a surprise...

When I went back to Michigan to get Married my father in law was gutted as I couldnt go to watch a Redwings game (he gets freebees on the centre line too) because of the shutout, but I did manage to catch some of the local hockey the Saginaw Spirit and a U of M V's Michigan State big 10 game, for meneither will replace a real mans game like rugby league, I mean come on helmets and shoulder pads christ

Great night in Hockey!

First and most important, The Flames won. So home ice is back in our favor. Edmonton won. I'm really hopping for that one! Take out Detroit & Dallas and Calgary should have no trouble going to the finals!

So far I'm pretty happy with the way things are going.

As long as a canadian team wins, I'll be ok with that ;)

Too bad there is no way to have all 4 canadian teams in the semi-finals ;)

Lets go Sabres! my last hope for a New York team that i dont totally Despise to win! they have beaten the stuffing out of Philly Interesting side note i read that Bobby Clarke gave an out of control Interview, but not on the flyers being crushed, he was livid that the Leafs Fired pat Quinn?

Check it Out @ TSN.CA

Well despite the Canadians lose, I think they should do well until they meet the Devils, then its time to step up.

If Edmonton beats Detroit and Calgary wins, then they play each other next round. It will be fun to watch, but I too want to see the Candian teams go far.

If I see a ref within 1 km tonight, he's in big trouble.

Incredible....

I really hope Koivu will be fine.

Holy crap! That looked horrendous, poor guy...hopefully its not serious.

We'll at least the rangers are one game from being Bounced. i missed the Koivu Incident, i know he was hit in the eye with Justin Williams Stick, was it Accidental?

I didn't hear about the Koivu Incident until I got to work. You should know better then us, but I was told he could be gone for a while. And if thats true then I dont think they will even beat Carolina.

They can't say, he has too many blood in his eye, they will be able to know in 48 to 72 hours.

Well, I don't think Koivu is a problem really, we have Bulis who can play center very well, but it's a big element of our offense obviously.

Although, it's evident that Kovalev will have to step up.

Quite sad to see the Flames come back only to lose in OT. Well this series is far from over. But the feeling here is that if the Flames lose the next game, then its game over for them.

Ok Jim, I *had* to compete with your avatar there

On the hockey side... I'm a bit in desperation today... I think this serie is now over, it seems rather evident that this team can't win without their captain, we don't have our first center and it shows.

First I must repy to Nic, There is a photo of Shania in a Flames shirt (I think from the CMT awards) But I would have to search (Hard) to find it. But I will admitt her Habs uniform looks much better then her in a Flames shirt. As for the Girl with the Flames boobs, that looks like a Flames girl from the red mile. Most likely from a Calgary bar. But I do have more Girls in flames gear, but I'm saving them for when the Flames lose to keep fan moral up. And last night they won, so I got the Big I up!

If Al Jarvis sees this post, He will for sure become a hockey fan

As for the Canadians. The feeling we have here is that it over. That was a big blow. But I guess we will know more today.

As for the Flames. That was a must win game. But the 4th win is always the hardest. Sames goes for Edmonton. They might be winning 3-2, but that 4th win will be a tuff one.

Well one more. I hope we dont blow it.

Ok since I took her off my avitar, here is the full photo of her, so people can know what started these Shania photos.

I will put another girl up, if the Flames lose. So if I have my way you wont see one again.

And for the Edmonton Fans:

I do feel sorry for you, Having your team a 2-0 lead only to lose 3 straight must be heartbreaking.

But the good news is that with Colorado beating Dallas, if Calgary beats Anahiem and Edmonton beats Detroit, then Calgary will play Edmonton next! (The battle of Alberta will be back) :thumb:

Frank! Couldn't you find a more recent Devils photo? Seeing that fisherman jersey brought back some nightmarish flashbacks.

I think I'll have to change my prediction for the team going to represent the west.

Wow... Never saw Edmonton coming...

I still see the Devils in the East, they are on a 15 wins streak now... and it's the the Sabres/Flyers that will cause them trouble.

Though, 1 loss could change their game.

Out of the west, now the road is all opened for Calgary once again, top 2 teams being eliminated.

If Calgary wins tonight, the battle of Alberta is opened.

And I'll check tomorrow is my chokers can pull another miracle like they did 2 years ago.

AND..........Edmonton goes wild. There were lots of people bellowing at the top of their lungs and running around the street waving Oilers flags. 'Twas fun!

But, boy oh boy, what a game. Ales Hemsky really came through tonight.

Way to go Edmonton. I have a flames girl, but I'm gonna save her, but here is a couple Edmonton girls to celebrate their win.

I just noticed my Subject changed, well whatever it takes to get people into it.

But I think the team to beat in the west in San Jose. If Calgary fails (And they might)My money is on a San Jose/New Jersey final.

Go Ducks!!!

Beat the snot outta calgary...make 'em CalGone!

I want my Sharks to have home ice the rest of the way.

BTW sorry Nic...I was pulling for Montreal.

Well, the top 4 seeds won in the east... so I won't complain.

But my hockey season is officially over... :(

A Montreal-Ottawa series would have been fun to see. Before Ottawa got their team, I had always been a Habs fan.

The Flames are gonna roast the Ducks tonight!!!

hmmm...my Colorado-NJ Final is still possible!!!

Unbelievable! Anaheim beat Calgary. Having the top four seeded teams in the East make it through was odd enough, but having the bottom four in the West make it to the second round is straight out of Bizarro World. Does this mean that Edmonton are now the favourites?

Ummm...I think that Joe Thornton and the Sharks are gonna have something to say about Edmonton being favorites :evil4:

the playoffs have been interesting so far, i got OLN back so i have seen most of the games and i will say that if the sabres goaltending keeps up they are beating everyone. they are quick on the attack and relentless

Well to say my city is in shock is an understatement. Its all over the news all over the radio. The radio was playing funeral music today with people telling their stories.

Well my playoffs are now over as well. So GO edmonton GO. That just does not sound right. :banghead:

It would have been nice if the Flames at least tried. Well this sucks.

Well to end the Flames season on a bright note here are a couple of Flames girls, to hold you over til next season.

Hep... top 4 seeds in the East vs the bottom 4 seed in the west.

Everything in place for a New Jersey-San Jose final ;)

Just watch Jersey destroy Carolina...

My guess now is Ottawa-Jersey and San Jose-... humm? what is the other serie? Anaheim and Colorado?

Don't know how will come out of this, damn, I don't want José Théodore to go too much further than the Habs...

How in the hell Boston traded Joe Thornton...
