I texted Jarvo (the only ACR appreciator i know) about the Subby gig weeks ago. Should be a belter as it's part of the legendary Sunday night that is "Optimo" AND it's a Bank Holiday.

I'm torn between staying in Glasgow and getting mangled at this or taking the healthy option of a room at the Dunblane Hydro for £59 courtesy of laterooms.com. Will decide on Sat.

If you do go look out for Pat Nevin who I know for a fact is goin. He's doin the Belle & Sebastian gig at the Tramway in the afternoon as well. Nutter!

Fcuk me, go to the Hydro. I used to date a Dunblane girlie many years ago, have very fond memories of there, Bridge of Allen, Stirling, etc. Actually, asked Martin Moscrop to dedicate WSLY (cheesy, or what?!) to her when he was sat at the bar before a gig at King Tut's Wah Wah back in 91. Nice as pie he was, but did she get the dedication?!

Did she fcuk.

Could do Glasgow as I'm off there tomorrow to see the Mozzer at the Carling Academy. Might see if my weedgie mate's up for it and more importantly, if I can crash on his oh so comfy floor for an extra night or two to make it to the Sunday evening.

Can't say I'm a hardcore ACR fan but I've got a few of the albums and singles, that Early compilation plus some random MP3s... I knew roughly what was going on with the setlist at MvC! Would be interesting to see them in action.

Spoke to my mate who said he didn't really rate the Hydro. He got stuck in some annexe building which wasn't too crash hot apparently. At 59 squid I'm guessing that's where I'll end up as well.

Ally, if you're going on Sunday drop me an email as I might be able to sort you a guest list.
