And reminds me..... cars who slow down when you are waiting to cross the road.....
Specifically....there are 2 cars coming with a 7 or 8 second gap between them, you are waiting at a roundabout or other bottleneck to cross. The car in front always slows down and closes the gap. Now I watch motor racing obsessively and I understand the conertina effect, but that involves the distance closing but the time gap remaining constant. On the roads, one see's ones 8 second crossing window reduced to 2 seconds far too often.....I can only assume it's because the car in front is paranoid or the one behind thinks he Michael Cobblers.

To show they're still their own person, that's why! I'd do it if I ever got married (which I don't intend to do, for the record).

Clarification: I don't like people who think sex is a joke. It requires commitment. I'm not religious, but if a high school or college student brags about it, he won't be my boyfriend.

Yes, actually, you do (for the record, that's what I plan to do). Guess some people don't realise that. Oh well, that's their lookout.
Just thought of some more to add to my list:
Most record company packaging of CD's; I try not to be too anal about things like this, but it's just annoying after removing the identifying label of a CD from the top side, and one is left with a sticky film on either side of the disc that collects dirt rather quickly.
The train-masters who have decided to connect, disconnect, and then reconnect cars at a crossing by my house, which is very near a major roadway. Never mind that it seems obvious to everybody but them to do their work just a little bit farther down the line, but they don't ever really seem to be in a hurry to complete their job. Traffic is blocked both ways for up to 15 minutes at a time several times a day, unintentionally creating Seattle or LA traffic conditions in a small town.
I also hate the CD packaging. Why does it take twice to unwrap the plastic and adhesive? I just don't have that patience. I also cannot stand emo and pop music. Did I say that already? :barf:

you've managed to open CD packaging?
i imagine there was a black monolith present the first time someone successfully completed that task.
