The Westboro Baptist Church, lead by whacko supreme "reverend" Fred Phelps, is one of the most disgusting, awful, repugnant, disgraceful organizations that exists in the US. Basically, these people think that Armageddon is coming, and that the reason it is coming is because of homosexuality in the United States. You would not BELIEVE the absolutely HORRIBLE tripe that they post on their website. These are the people who tried to raise money to erect a statue of Matthew Shepard, a young gay college student from Laramie, Wyoming who was brutally murdered for being gay, burning in hell. They wanted to put up a statue of Matthew burning in hell in the town square in Laramie - the town council refused them, thank God. In the past, they used to only protest at pro-gay events, and then a few years ago it escalated to them showing up at the funerals of gay people and those who support gay people, and now they believe that God is punishing our country by killing soldiers because we are "harboring" homosexuals in this country.

I can't even begin to tell you how irate these people make me.

SO proud of Govenor Vilsack of Iowa (my home state...and wouldn't be surprised if he didn't make a run for the Presidency...he'd be a good candidate) for enacting legislation to keep these f**ckos away. Incredibly sad that he had to do it, however. Ugh I wish these arseholes would just go away.
