Don't honestly think we'll get very far playing the big boys, but it'll be a fantastic experience. And you never know, stranger things have happened ... :D

they could've won it if Romanov had kept his nose out, although 3 managers in a season and 2nd place ain't bad (or does it prove the point that it's mickey mouse football?)

i remember when Derby went through 3 managers in a season.....they we're relegated

Can't stand this naive viewpoint about Scottish football being Mickey Mouse.

We can't help the geographics and the fact there are only really 3 teams that can spend (half) decent money on players!

Forgetting our disgraceful exit this year, the Forces Of Darkness reached the Quarters of the Champions League with a joke of a team and we reached a final and Quarter Final of the UEFA only two or three years back. West Brom, Birmingham and Sunderland have more money to spend than us - even next year!

If we came down here (which as I've said before, will NEVER happen) we would be given an extra £20m from TV alone. Us and our evil blue nosed neighbours have a fan base that stands up to anyone in the world. So please don't lecture us on our shite league.....we know it is.

As for 24hr pissheads, what's wrong wi that? At least we can behave. You don't find the Scottish fans being banned from anywhere.

I've seen pissed up sunday league teams string a better game together than most SPL sides.

Hang on, didn't a team that couldn't hack the English Unibond league qualify for UEFA cup after switching to the Scottish Leagues? Mickey Mouse? Donald chuffing Duck more like!

Read the rest of the thread dafty. The Scottish LEAGUE is Mickey Mouse but Celtic and The Forces Of Ultimate Darkness are more than capable of holding their own on a bigger and more demanding platform.

Reluctant to get into this debate again (hass turned up about once a year on this forum since Celtic made it to the UEFA Cup Final). Bottom line is that Celtic and Rangers, even with their vastly limited financial resources would have secured a top half finish in the Premiership this season. Allowed to compete with Premiership TV money and they'd be in the top 4 most seasons.

Of course I read the rest of the tread, that's why I left it out! Celtic and Rangers would of course be big clubs in a British league but they would have a massive outlay just to survive in the unlikely event of a merger. One new squad and those they hang onto wanting a bigger slice £20m won't go far - it might not be enough to comparably tread water as Champions League revenue would probably lost in the short term.

And we may not be in Europe this year, but we've a better European history than Rangers and we'll be there again

But a merger's not going to happen so I can continue laughing at Rangers.

Let's all laugh at Rangers Let's all laugh at Rangers Let's all laugh at Rangers ha-haa-ha-ha HA! ha-haa-ha-ha HA! ha-haa-ha-ha HA! ;)

I regard you as a sensible lad JT, but that statement there is just the daftest thing I've heard from you......ever

£20m for starters, then ability to attract a far better level of player, more gate receipts, sponsorship, investment like the way you lot have it down here and so on.

It's a pipe dream I'm afraid.

As for Mickey Mouse, were Millwall not in the UEFA Cup a year or two back?
