Uncle Liam
I find the quote "Skullcrusher" to be rather inappropriate, as you seem to have figured out how to legally, morally, peacefully AND democratically bring the world to a stop. Thank you very much!
This, of course, is necessary when the developing world cannot afford to feed the hungry and thirsty, whilst the developed world has still not beaten cancer, AIDS and other terminal illnesses. At the same time, regions of the world are populated by supposed human beings who have worked so hard - unlike the rest of us - in their lives that they are morally allowed to escape paying tax.
Just about all of the problems in the world are rooted in a global context. No individual political party will ever put that right.
For instance, tobacco bought over the counter without prescription and smoked is the biggest known cause of cancers, and as a result many of the most talented scientists are drawn away from other areas of research. We've known this for at least two (sorry, four) decades. Yet how nearer are we, the world's electorate, to being able to vote someone with the power to rid us of the company directors and the 'pressure groups' who spread lies with lies, than we were then?
I'll be making sure that the number of spoiled ballots in my area newspapers are disctinctly recorded and published - not just parked under the "Other" column.
