Corporate Seats at Football

would you except a ticket to the final of the World Cup or any major final if offered, even though you had never been to a game,and therefore denying the oportunity of the lifelong fan of a team he/she has followed at many ,many games for years?

i guess i'm asking about Finals in general.Like if you had never been to an Arsenal game ever and then you got offered a ticket for a seat at the Champions league final ,thus denying a lifelong fan who been to all the Champions league games for years etc. fan that seat

Damn straight i would. Mind, i follow Leeds fairly religiously. But yeah, id go to the world cup final, or if i had the chance, the Champions League final. Just a footy game init, if you dont deny them, someone else will and take your chance

Corporate seats are a necessity to turn over dosh to buy the best players. But you need to be top drawer to be able to extract that money.

Would like to think I have some morals and could refuse such tickets as a matter of principle, but if someone offered me a ticket to the FA Cup final next weekend, I'd have to say I'd take it, even if it meant a WH season-ticket holder missing out... Same with the World Cup - whether or not England made the final...

Yesterday I got offered free tickets for the Champions League Final from somebody I know who works for Sony, he always gets freebie Champions League tickets. Don't think I can accept them though

Flights are too expensive Jarvis, it was just too short notice. I would be a great experience to see great players like Henry, Messi & Ronaldinho.

It's a tough one this, as i've been to see many major games of teams i don't even support. I think if an opportunity comes up- you take it.

Of course it's right that hardcore fans have priority.

I know a bond holder at Arsenal that has NOT got a ticket for the final in paris next week. I find this unfair. I would expect as a bond holder (thousands per year for your seat), who attends every game, that i would be guaranteed a ticket for such a game.

I think tickets, initially, should be distributed to those that have used up their briefs most by travelling to away games/ abroad to watch the team through one season. Any left over should be drawn out a hat, the method that has been used for all tickets for this final- hence bond holders and fans who've travelled away all season missing out.

Exactly. I myself am a massive Northern Ireland fan, haven't missed a home game since Lawrie McMenemy was in charge. If some plank who has never been to a match before gets a ticket ahead of me i'd be very pissed off. Those Champions League final tickets should be offered to Arsenal or Barcelona fans and not to the likes of me.

Who said hardcore fans were broke???? Who said hardcore fans couldn't afford seats?

You would never "hold" empty seats for anyone- you'd offer them first to those that put their briefs in and had evidence that they had been x amount of games, especially away games.

I didn't realise world footballits were so CHEAP.....you want corporate seats...you do what we do in F1..... you get a company to BUILD themselves a corporate stand, which is the venue's to do with as they please most of the time, but reverts to a corporate box for F1 and DTM.
