Has anyone been to see this yet?
i went, it was a lot better than i thought it would be, although i was way more excited about the X-men 3 trailer than M.I.3.

I think Val Kilmer already did that in Top Gun.

The wife loves him, so I'll be going.
MI1 was diabolical.
MI2 was good.
The guy behind 'Lost' was involved with MI3, so my hopes are high...

Look, whatever you think of Tom, a lot of women (and men)would at least play with him for one night - despite the height problem, and the whole question of proportionism.
He was a mean mutha in Collateral I thought...:violent2:
But a complete tosser in War of the Worlds it should be said ![]()

What about "Eyes Wide Shut" - disturbing or what?
War of the Worlds - I wanted him to die - painful remake.

WOTW was great until they got to the end and turned it into a mushorama (when the son reappears)- what's the point of making a gritty film only to wrap it up in a pretty pink silk bow at the end!?

Fuck the Spiderman series, the biggest over hyped pile of shit ever, why its so succesful is beyond me shit i tell you fuckin shit!
but to answer your question spiderman 3 comes out next year

That's really spooky cos those are my exact feelings about the Mission Impossible AND Spiderman franchises!
Summed up well ![]()
In my opinion, MI3 will just be another load of Hollywood horseshite: bad script, fuck all story and Tom Cruise leaping around saving the world as an "all round American good-guy". The bad guy will probably have a British accent or will be a Brit actor putting on a bad foreign accent.
It's pish but nobody talks about films any more in terms of "great story" or "great dialogue" or "the characters are really memorable". Nobody's saying you need to turn it into some obscure European Art House film but all people take away from (Hollywood) movies now is "wow see those special effects?!" and how many explosions there were.
I saw the previous two MI's and they were just horseshit... I've already made a promise to myself never to watch anything with Tom Cruise in it again... even if I do miss out on the occasional good film because of it!

Haven't seen that.

totally agree. Tom Crusie is everyfuckinwhere. At least Spidey's only ever seen on the sides of Buildings or in the sky.

Just been to see M:I-3. Thought it was quite good to be honest. Its not all tom smiles and stuff.
i got dragged to see that last night. it wasn't that good. tom was still being tom. loads of shaky camera work, and a few plot implausibilities.
Looking forward to it,hope it's got more in common with the series than MI2 did! It was a good action film, but apart from the masks,it had bugger all to do with it. Brian De Palma's MI was a perfect homage to the series.

actually pretty good-serious questions-how can we predict the future when uncertainity means we do not know if events will actually happen the way they are pedicted to occur.
fascinating really...
tho sadly Tom was outclassed in the acting department by Colin Farrell (THAT is sad)

ouch! for the record, it ain't me...Scientologists are freakin weird, man
its weird just how many media shows and stuff have made Tom Cruise "gay" jokes... its seems unprecedented in the USA ... is his name really "cruise"?
anybody remember his creepy gay vampire in that weird mediocre Van Sant Anne Rice Vampire movie...?
it's hard to like Tom Cruise in any movie... i don't know why, he just gets annoying... he isn't terrible and he looks good for a 40+ year old, maybe he should just take 5 years off and enjoy his marriage and kids... yeah, i know it's hard to imagine![]()
Thought it was a good popcorn type movie, not great, just a way to kill a few hours. It was not a movie that I would pay full price to go see (I got in for free) or buy the DVD when it comes out for my collection.

Tom Cruise seems to be a nice chap. Definitely going to see M.I.3. when it will be released.
Vanilla Sky, Eyes, War of the Worlds, etc. ![]()
I hate Tom Cruise and I hate action movies (perhaps because I'm too old for that now) so why should I watch it?
But I'm looking forward to the new James Bond-movie...
ill be watching this by the weekend on dvd,mr cruise seldom puts in an arse o fa performance but he and speilberg should have been flogged for war of the worlds. what a load of pants.
Suprisingly good film- saw it yesterday- 8/10.
And if you don't like Tom you should go and see it for the ending!

error. don't know where you read your reviews, but there are plenty of people out there that talk about plotting, character development & structure most of the best films of recent years in the end of year polls exhibit these traits as well, (sideways, crash, memento, la confidential)
spiderman as a series is actually trying to acheive this as well & is far from a special effect driven film, it captures the duality/ conflict that the lead character has quite well IMO & has lead to more intelligent films in the genre.
I'm not too keen on this. I'd much rather see X-Men 3 and The DaVinci Code. Maybe it's decent though Tom Cruise in general turns me off lately. That guy is a nut. I don't feel like having any of my $7 go into his pocket. I'm sure I'll see it eventually, but perhaps not till DVD or the dollar theater.
