A good year for me so far... Work has been less stressful, life with Mrs SHEDi continues to be a lot of fun... West Ham are in the CUp Final and Europe next year... And a summer of cricket and the World Cup to look forward to...

hmmm... last year: New Order, REM, Doves, Elbow, I Am Kloot tours.

This Year: Morrissey... and... erm... not much else.

Well according to the "bible code" this is the year it all goes wrong. So if we're still sitting here a year from now, hopefully people will have believing in stupid fairy tales.

Any computers you want hacked, (or daleks that need defeating( gimme a call.

In seriousnes tho... 06 is an unholy nightmare of annoyance for me, skint, sick and pissed off. Still hoping to get to liverpool that will make it all right.

And the thing I said about the bible code came from 3 seperate sources, if the bible is not just a silly fiction book, this planet will burn before the year is out. I wouldn't worry about it except the guy with his finger on the button DOES believe that shite.

Well so far 2006 has been just ok, better then 2005, but still just ok.

So far this year first few months were ok. While April was great, but May offset April's greatness by being a real downer so far. Hopefully the rest of the year will get better.

Funny you should mention that, just got a letter this morning saying they wanna see me on monday. Don't like the wording tho.....it talked about discussing the "likelyhood of your return to work". I know I'm not sorted yet, and my Dr knows, but I have a letter from the DSS doctor saying I am fit, so as far as I know, they HAVE to let me back.....otherwise, it's literally carboard box and begging time since the dole wont give me another penny.....happy enough to buy all the terrorists in belfast cars and houses, but the begrudge me 50 quid a week.

EDIT: it's worth pointing out that work specifically said they would not allow me back while still in pain/off my face on painkillers (after all my job is to be focused and polite, not hazey and irritable), and while I still couldn't balance properly. LOL....this is gonna be a fun few weeks.

Jesus, it's a vicious circle. It's gotta be better going back to work than being bored at home.

On the one hand, yes. But on the other, I have had 2 years of sitting around doing NOTHING, the point of which was to get this crap, if not cured, then at least calmed down to the point of nothing. That hasn't happened, it's still there, and to be honest the only reason it is as tolerable as it is, is that I AM doing nothing. A few weeks walking to and from work and sitting on a hard sweaty chair, and I'll be worse than ever, the 2 years I had off will be a complete waste of time and I'll have the whole thing to go through again, this time homeless and starving. Great eh?

What the hell did you to yourself in the first place? 2 years is a bloody long time.

Nowt standout or special thus far for me in 2006.

Any major things happening in my life seemed to have happened to other people, in that two of me best mates have become fathers for the first time. For me though, work's been more chilled than usual. Been out with a few nice women, though nowt special or with any longevity. Done a few gigs and been abroad a couple of times but, again, nothing out of the ordinary. Feel like I've spent the entire year 'trying to have a quiet one' each month but then still going out and then feeling like I've wasted my time. May was gonna be THE quiet month for me before the WC kicks in, and I'm now out every night till a week Saturday. Another year when I just haven't learned to say 'No'.

Do feel like I'm moving towards something positive however, but it's still just out of reach. Fully expect June and July to be very hectic and memorable months!

Have just re-read all that and it sounds like utter airy-fairy bollocks.

I got in lots of trouble ( not to my face of course) the last time i talked about it on here. hidradenitis suppurativa google it, don't eat while doing so, especially if you hit the images button. The coming and going of it is the real pain....it clears up for the flipping DSS's doctor and cripples me 3 weeks later, although in fairness it gave me an easy time when I went out partying a few weeks ago too, tho it paid me back shortly after.

Anyway to a more, thread related topic. 05 was a wwonderful year for me, got closer to some good friends ( well one), met a lot of good new ones, FINALLY saw NO, met Wilson, met Hooky, saw someone other than fucking Baron Von Cobblers win a Grand Prix, and best of all....the absolutely highlight of the year was seeing the return of The Doctor, the world feels somehow right again, kids have a decent role model again, not just endless incoherent Japanese cartoons and yanks with HOOOJ guns. I still choke up really badly when i watch the first episode of the 05 series.

And really apart from a very few wonderful moments, the Dr is all 06 has going for it so far, this eries is far better than last years, much more "proper" without going geeky ( Dr Who was always a family show anyway).

For the rest of 06, I want to see NO a couple more times, see The Orb, see Gong, see Jenson Button crash out of the lead at silverstone onthe last lap, see somore more of my noolmates for the first time, see a couple of them again, and figure out just what the FUCK is biting my linux machine's bollox.

2006? Not bad so far, Bloody expensive at home though, had the plumbers out three times and cost me two arms and a leg. Health and happiness are all better than they ever were in 2005, the band is going well, and there are gonna be some great gigs coming up.

I do remember you talking about that now, Cambo. I will google it. It sounds bloody awful.

Sounds like you've had lots of good moments too, though.

Yeah, that would be my dream to see NO, but somehow I don't think they'll come down under again - can always hope though.
