i can't complain too much, at least it gave me the night off for the apollo and the whole weekend for NOdisco. Positively decent of it.

Hmmm.... peaks and troughs, peaks and troughs.

Same as last year really, good stuff and bad stuff

It's been a 'stressed' year for me so far; trying to get everything in order for the NZ move (ETA: end July).

The biggest nightmare is dealing with estate agents who have a policy of telling you whatever they think you want to hear in order to keep hold of a sale!

:banghead:

scum.

Could do without it.

Changed me mind. I met my nephew in 2006. Ace year!

Hmmmmm how the hell did a female yank know that.

Impressed of Bangor.

Anyway, while looking for an example to illustrate the explanation you do not need, I found this. It brings me nicely to the topic of the thread again, that being 2006......I'm locing F1 this year, the wee V8 engines are kick ass, there's been loads of wheel to wheel action and plenty of cheating too, and best of all I don;t know in advance who's gonna win. Anyway......... Ron...

Crackle, background noise… [Ron Dennis, Team Principle] – Phil, status? [Phil Prew, Montoya’s Race Engineer] – Juan’s just coming into the stadium now, at the end of his out-lap. [RD] – Excellent. Inform him to sustain his progressional circuitary tour and to prepare for the expectation of an upper-tertiary achievement. [PP] – What? [RD] (ignoring him) - Mark, please bestow the contemporary delineation of qualifying standings as of this moment in time. [Mark Slade, Raikkonen’s Race Engineer] – Uhmm, what? [PP] – Juan Pablo’s on his qually lap! [RD] – Never mind Mark, I have located it. [MS] (quietly) – Whatever… [PP] – Sector 1’s good! [RD] – Phil, please corroborate that Juan Pablo’s time will certify a dual principal positioning upon the grid? [PP] – What? [RD] – I am merely articulating my preference for a McLaren to be positioned in both the Primary and Secondary locations at the forefront of the field for the race. [PP] – Then why didn’t you just say so? [RD] – Hmm. Perhaps I should converse directly with Juan Pablo. [PP] – Hey, no – we talked about this… (feed interrupt with a channel change ‘click’) [RD] – Juan Pablo, you are in communication with Ron Dennis. Status update required without vacillation. [Juan Pablo Montoya] – What? [RD] – I am obligated to insist upon a locational description forthwith. [JPM] – What? [RD] (sighing) – Juan Pablo, it is a vocational prerequisite that you consign, upon specific application from myself, information a propos to your locality promptly and succinctly. [JPM] – What? Oh, mother- [PP] – No! He’s lost the back of the car… He’s off! He’s in the wall; final turn! [JPM] – Dammit Ron! You confused me with Ronspeak™ and now I’m gonna have to start from the back of the grid! [RD] – What? [JPM] – And I think I broke a nail... (crackle, signal interrupt)

2006 so far has been great. things are looking up on all fronts.

"Wake me up when September ends" I said last year - nobody did. So, what's been happening? How's Christina's album doing?!

Not quite as good as last year in these parts. The California trip to see New Order was a lovely, lovely time, but various things have conspired against me this year on that front.

A best friend and myself each laid to rest our beloved grandfathers a little over a week ago (with a day between the funerals) so that hasn't helped, as does shaking my head in wonderment at people like the president of Iran.

Still, things could always be a helluva lot worse, so no complaints about what I have to deal with.

Better than the last four years. So far, so good. I really can't complain.
