Where to stay?

Looking for a decent room in a good location for about £80 a night for a double.

I like the look of the area where the Spanish Steps are but anywhere that's cetral and nice will do.

Anyone been got any recommendations?

I will try and find out where we stayed for ya.

It was a nice appartment directly across from a pub called Sgt Peppers, a cracking wee Beatles pub - which I'm sure you'd love (yeah yeah yeah)

From our appartment you could also see the top of St Peter's Dome (lit up at night) so basically a 10 minute walk from The Vatican.

TOP TOP TOP Steak house just across the road from the Colloseum called Legend Time, twas that good I kept the card for the next time we go there....

Legend Time (Pub, restaurant, pizzeria, steak house, sky, live music, cocktail bar)

Via Capo D'africa 21A Roma.

Don't go mad on the Sambucca's though :thumb:

Ooops, never thought Ian! There were 6 of us in the one large appartment, so I am guessing that's no good to you mate?

I'm sure someone else on here can come up with a better answer ;)

Yup, just need a double room, everytime I find one that hasn't got bad reviews, it seems to be booked.

I've stayed in the Mercure, Piazza Bologna which was nice enough. £100 for a double - however, some of the singles (from £71) have disabled facilities which includes a bigger bed. Not quite double size but room for two.

The underground station is 2 minutes walk and it's 1 euro to town centre.

Ta, that wasn't actually available for our trip. Got something for £90. Good job the flights were only £60.
