exactly, which just goes to show his sarcastic nature. For all the people that still
(!!!) think that all he is miserable, please try to LISTEN to what he is trying to tell you. As simple as that.

All i can say is that you probably would like to look like him being 47....Just being jealous, that's all.
Maybe you are and look like Keith Richards![]()

I'll be the first to admit that Morrissey as a person is a bit of a cunt.
Still, bloody marvellous band!

and i'll be 100% behind you on this, not a rocket science. Peter Hook was right but then he was right that he was/is a brilliant musician and that's what counts for me.
Let's get this out in the open@ Morrissey is a twat, he cannot communicate with people anf treats them like shit but he is a fantastic artist, a genius. Happy now?

He? More like they! Boz, Jesse, Matt, Mikey, Gary and Alain. Its not solo, its a band. ![]()
I was thinking about Morrissey when I was having a poo the other day.
Listening to his recent album, he seems to have been doing a good bit of shagging. This is quite a turn around from his early years, when he made quite a big thing about being celibate and labelled sex as overrated, emotionally destructive and generally a bad idea.
I would imagine that someone as influential as Mozz would have, err, influenced quite a few plukey youths to follow suit, or at least given them some justification for remaining as plukey, sexless youths rather than making an effort to get out of their bedrooms and into other people’s bedrooms.
So, if my theory is correct, there's potentially millions of people out there who have wasted years of their lives by not doing any shagging. Now Mozz has admitted that shagging is brilliant after all, these people will have to start ironing their clothes, washing themselves and stop being so awkward and depressed all the time.
Sadly, after so many years, it will simply be too late for some of them.
Are we really to believe that he's changed his mind so fundamentally? I just can't accept that the whole business hasn't just been one long piss-take. He's CONNED a section of a whole generation into thinking that shagging is crap and not worth the hassle. And now he's laughing his head off - "It's not crap at all you SUCKERS! It's ACE and I've been doing LOADS of it and you haven't LOSERS!"
And what's next for Morrissey? What revelations are yet to come?
Perhaps the cd, single of 'You Have Killed Me' contains some clues. The b-side "Meat is Dinner, and Desert" is a strange little track which could be described as Mozz's answer to The Street's 'When You Wasn't Famous". In an unnamed Five Star Restaurant in Chelsea, Morrissey dines on Chateaux Briande with a fictional Page Three model called Charlene. He rejects desert (there is no meat option) then proceeds to the lavatory where he consumes a cocktail of drugs and enjoys steamy sex-session with the model. (I can’t wait so see the video for that one!)
"Ha," said Mozz in an interview "I fuckin love meat, I do. Nowt better than a rack of lovely spring lamb and a good shag. With a bird." Well he didn’t actually, but I bet that’s what he’s thinking.
Meat and shagging are brill: Morrissey fans have all been had.

couldn't agree more. especially toad in the hole.
Uncle Liam wrote:

I saw 'them' twice on this tour and thought that the band were quite poor.
Boz didn't do very much at all, strumming an acoustic turned low for most of the gig. His most significant contribution was when he played a drink of water. The other guitarist is alright but probably suffers in my mind from comparison to Marr, who he can't hold a candle to. The bassist looks like a criminal and the drummer is nowt special.
This was quite a surprise to me - the live cds I've heard lead me to expect a much stronger band and particular strong performances by Boorer. I always thought that tight camp-rockabilly sound was a perfect backing to Morrissey - defeating any Smiths-comparison arguments by sounding and acting nothing like them although, at times, being every bit as good.
Morrissey was the only star on that stage as far as I could see - his backing band looked like just that from where I was standing.

There you go
'In Poland, namesdays ('imieniny' in Polish) are widely celebrated, apart from birthdays, and most calendars contain the names celebrated each day. Namesday celebrations in Poland traditionally involve a gathering of friends and family at the celebrant's home at the dinner table, followed by drinking and socializing, similarly to birthday celebrations. The song "Sto lat" is usually sung. Child celebrants receive presents, just like on their birthday'
'Like in many other Catholic countries, Poles celebrate name days (imieniny) on the day of their patron saint. Although birthdays are becoming increasingly popular in Polish culture, they remain relatively intimate celebrations, as often only relatives and close friends know a person's date of birth. Name days, on the other hand, are often celebrated together with co-workers, etc. Information about whose name day it is, can be found in most Polish calendars, web portals, etc.'
See? Told you that we'll always find a reason to drink some more!
OK...so you are Saint Iwona?
or is this based on the patron saint of gobby mozzer fans (who,in fairnes probably IS St.Iwona LOL)
And in actual fact you have been conned by having the two fall on the same day, like having your Birthday on Xmas day type thing?
Then again, does this matter? I think not, yer gonna have a fucking riot anyway aint yer :D
So basically, Poles have a real birthday and an official birthday, like some old Queen or other?
(Do I win £40?)
Lots of other countries have a similar thing - the French all have a Birthday and a Saints day, don't they?

That's a very awkward question, that is! Don't even know if i've got a patron...Got one from my Holy Communion but that's about it...
It is sooo unfair to have both on the same day! The story goes: when i was born, my mum came up with such ridiculous names that my grandma wasn't having none of it (thank you grandma!!) so they've opened up the calendar and as it was Iwona's nameday they've decided to go for it. I used to hate my name but i love it now!!!
--- which i think may start a new thread of the all the bizarre names that our parents used to have for us! Some of us have had a lucky escape (like i did), some are stuck with the names that they hate....

I wouldn't call it an official bday, it just goes with your name. We all have a name (eureka!
) and they're all in the calendar so we've got the same rights:)
If the French have got a Saints day then the rest of the continent must have their name days....
But back home it's all about inviting guests and getting pissed. We don't have a pub culture so we tend to invite them home and spend a lot of money on being a good host.
