The famous 16th Century Prophet Nostradamus predicted that the world will end on 6th June 2006.

B*STARD!!!

That is the day before my birthday and days before the World Cup starts

If you knew it was true, what would you do?

I'd confront a few colleagues i'm not very fond of and tell them what i think, then leave work immediately, withdraw all the money I have and go on a huge bender, including going into a China shop and wrecking it (i've always wanted to do that and Jimmy Saville ignored my letter)

It's not by or about Dylan is it? :confused2:

In all seriousness, I'd try and goand see as many friends and family as I could in the time left... And probably put on some Sigur Ros as a soundtrack to impending doom... But end with REM 'It's The End Of The World...' for sheer comedy value...

Assuming Mr Darmus was basing this prediction on the presence of the devil's sort code 06-06-06 in the date, why hasn't the world ended twice since the birth of the likkle baby Jesus?

6th June 0006 and 6th June 1006 should have been the end of it all.

I'm not going to buy my Mum's birthday present until 7th, just in case.

Actually, a lucky escape for Jenson if it did, that's Brit Gp qually day is it not?

I can send back that Pink Rolls Royce I bought for your Birthday then Jem, that'll save a quid or two.

Peruse some charity bookshops and pick up the oldest books on him you can, skip the crap about kenedy and that geezer "Hister"...get right to the "future" and read all the wonderful stuff about stuff that didn't happen in 1985.

One I absolutely remember committing to memory was that NYC would be utterly destroyed by a fire lasting exactly a month in jan 1995. You can bet some numb nuts his shimmied that one around into being a big fire in part of NYC in sept 2001 of course LOL.

LOL....I'm with Jarvo on this one kiddo.

When someone said "chinese Missy Jem" last week All I could think of was this chick, dressed to the nines in party kit, facing down a tank with a bottle sized glass of red in her hand screaming over the sound of the engine "either get OUT here and dance or FOOK OFF!!!!"

A colleague i used to hate, i am now in awe of. Several years ago he picked up the phone and this woman was ranting and raving at him. He tried to explain it wasn't his problem and that he would find out who should be dealing with and ring her back. She would not let him get a word in edgeways, so after five minutes of holding the phone six inch from his ear, he snapped.

"Madam, do you know who you are talking to?"

To which she replied, "erm, well no."

"Well Fuck off then!"

Excellent!

Of course it wont...for one thing it'd be a bit fucking shitty for people for whom it's the 34th of the Bear or the 9th of river instead of 6th June.

now as for astrology. Just perform some simple scientific tests is all I ask cozzie. Like...ask someone to read you 5 horrorscopes at random at the end of the day.....if there's any truth whatsoever to it...you will of course pick out the exact one that is "yours" wont you?

The one I love the most but....there are what? 360 million PPL in the USA give or take. If astrology is true....THIRTY MILLION PEOPLE have had the exact same day as you in every detail? I think not. Where's the 13th sign of the zodiac that was forgotten by a drunken transcriber 1000 years ago? How come I'm a "taurus" with all the traits caused by the power of the constellation (aomething else that exists only in the minds of retards with no education at all....well barring stellar nurseries like the plaedes) Taurus the Bull.....but since the charts were written the Earth has moved relative to the galaxy, and taurus was nowhere NEAR the Zenith when I was born. Fucking morons....haven't even verified their data by observation in so long that stellar drift has ruined it ROFLMAO.

IS there any truth to any of it? Well people born in january who spend their first few months freezing in the dark are gonna be different from folks born in june to long warm days....that's the reality....onto which you can stack a multimillion Dollar fucktard cash-milking system.

Anyone wish to show some experiemtal evidence for astrology, please do....stars predicting the finishing order in this weekend's Monaco Grand prix should do it. In fact I will settle for knowing what lap kimi raikonen and Fernando Alonso will stop for fuel.....I can do that with a calulator before the race start, so surely "magic" can do it 3 days ahead?

And YES Cozzie I am amazed....you are supposedly studying science but CLEARLY do not have the first atom of a clue what science actually is. I know in the US that science is anying some moron says they read a book on ( FFS they try to say that some fairy pulling the universe out of his big shitey arse is science over there LOL....you used to go to the moon, now yer returning to thinking it's made of cheese)....but there are standards for experiment for theory and for peer review.

If astrology is true...why do you read.... "astrologer dies in accident" but never "astrologer wins lottery"

Can someone post a transcript of the verses that Nostra wrote re; this?

I'm not sure did. I tried to wade through his babble once; never saw a 06/06/06 date in there. HOWEVER, the remake of the Omen film is released that day (predictably).

From what I remember, depending on which interpretation you read, the supposed Battle of Armageddon was supposed to begin in November 2000, and rage for forty years of more, followed by a period of peace.

Actually.. when was Bush first elected?
