I'm starting to believe I'm stupid when I watch this show... I get things only after it's finished and sometimes I'm even more confused.

So basically, here's a few question and trying to understand what just happened.

Thing 1: Was Desmond's girlfriend actually Jack's fiance? I would need to check online if it was the same actress, but for some reason I thought it was her.

Thing 2: Libby is the one who gave the boat to Desmond? and yet she was on the island.

Thing 3: Is the hatch actually just a giant radar scrambler or what? Seems a magnetic field was just lifted, and then the russians were able to locate this place.

EDIT: Apparently it was portugese, not russian.. wonder how I managed to think it was russian.

i thought at first it was libby that gave the boat to Desomnd, but its not.

i dont think that desi's GF is Jacks fiance, but who knows

i need to wait for the dvd's because i missed a few episodes

desmond's girlfriend was the daughter of the man jack was performing surgery on--the same surgery which saved the life of his wife. she's the one jack kissed (did he shag her? can't remember.). anyway, it was that situation which led to the break-up of jack's marriage.
yes, it was libby who gave the boat to desmond. but remember, it happened years before the flight crashed. so her being on the island can make sense.
seems like it's a magnetic thingamajig. every time the button isn't pushed, something bad happens.

Fcuk me, what a load of bollocks the finale was. Just got weirder and weirder.

So what's supposed to have happened to Eko, Locke and Desmond? And did Charlie have amnesia or summat cos he didn't seem that bothered about their safety when he got back to camp.

Libby said the boat was named after her. Elizabeth. Is Libby short for Elizabeth in the US then?! Can't say I knew that.

And Nic, you're right, Portuguese does sound very Eastern European. I assumed they were Ruskies or summat until I just read this.

Soooperb to see Jim Robinson from Neighbours in the mix though!

hmmm...i think you're right about that one. but that girl was in a flashback of some sort, i'm sure.

edit: i'm surprised that the lostpedia link doesn't, in the section on henry gale, mention that henry gale was the name of dorothy's uncle in the wizard of oz!
