Swap: guys starts with paper clip now has van

Anyone else heard this? BBC R5 this afternoon interviewed a guy who swapped a paper clip for a pen shaped like a fish, carried on swapping for increasingly valuable stuff and after 12 swaps had a van.

Think he's Canadian. One of his swaps was a part in a film. His aim is to swap his way up to a house!

I heard it on CNN a few weeks ago. I thought he was American but he may well have been Canadian.
