No, I picked Dallas, because they're in the final and the question as an opposition to the actually Soccer-Hype in Germany. :D
I like both teams. I like Dirk, I like Shaq and Wade too. Don't like Riley though. However, before yesterday's game I had picked Miami to win in 7 games. After last night, I'd consider waffling. Not that losing game 1 on the road is a big deal, but they really exposed Miami's weakness in that Shaq can't hit a free throw to save his life. Not good in a close series! Miami will need to get enough of a lead that they can sit him at the end of the games. I know game 1 winners win the series 73% of the time, but I'l stick with my original paick, based on nothing but a hinch, and vote for Miami.
Wait, if the Mavericks win, won't that leave the Rangers with a serious inferiority complex?
Let's see, Cowboys have five championships, the Stars have one, this would finally give the Mavs one...
and the Rangers...well...after 34 seasons, still nada....
guess I'll have to hope the Heat win...can't have the baseball team feeling all left out...

Well, the Rangers are in first. If Houston's out of it in another month and Clemens demands a trade to Texas, maybe...nah, never mind. :\ohwell:
Don't really care, I like both teams just fine. Only thing I'm happy about is that the Detroit Pistons and Rasheed Wallace, the seriously immature malcontent and lockerroom cancer, got eliminated. No thanks to you for being a big reason for helping to ruin a great franchise. :finger: What a freakin' TARHOLE!!!!!
even though miami are down by one game, i went with the heat. i don't really know why. maybe it's a florida thing?
I have no dog in this fight, but a Dallas win would make a better story (the franchise that has never won). Of course, I don't know if Miami is without a ring in the past as well. So...![]()
Shaq with 5 pts!?!?! He did not look happy on sitting on the bench last night........
I still say the Mavs in 6....but it might be 5 :D
Tough call, but I'll go with 6 games. The Heat will show some pride at home.
I find it hilarious that Pat Riley is whining about the 2-3-2-2 format. Three things:
- This is the same Pat Riley that, just before the playoffs started, was preaching "no excuses, no excuses!". Now, just before the final, he comes up with the lamest excuse I've ever heard.
- I didn't hear him complaining about the 2-3-2 format when he was winning championships with the Lakers.
- If you think the 2-3-2 gives an advantage to the team with the better record, then FINISH WITH A BETTER RECORD! Dallas finished with a better record than you, playing in a tougher conference, and swept you in the regular season. They earned the advantage in the playoffs. Otherwise, the regular season is meaningless. Riles knew before the season started that the team with the better record would have home court advantage in a 2-3-2 format, so deal with it!
Whew, I'm done!

Wow, what a comeback for Miam last night. I thought they were toast. Maybe this series will get interesting...

Voted the same way for the same reason.
Go local team!
Thanks to the wunderbar Gerard Cosloy and the caustic Can't Stop The Bleeding for bringing this to light.......The Avery Bunch video. At least it's a lot shorter than The Super Bowl Shuffle. ![]()
I was fairly impartial before, but I'm now rooting for Dallas. I think they've gotten boned and desrve to win. Go Mavs!
Guess there was a hoo-hah about the officicals last night, but I was watching Deadwood instead, cause I've missed the writing on the show ( and not just for the abundancy of 'c*cks*ckers' in said script either). Al was in fine, fine form last night. ![]()
Wow, I got one right. I can't believe Miami won four in a row, though. Too bad. It should have gone seven. Would have been more fitting.
