Are You Any Good To Know?

Just been for a quick walk to the Post Office. Three parcels under my arms: presents for three friends (only two of whom I have ever met). Only small things, nothing of any value, but it occured to me that it's not that bad knowing me. I'm nothing special. I'm quite kind, mostly considerate, not mean to people very often. I'm going to try to think about it more in future. I'm going to try to keep stock of the kindness I receive and the kindness I give out.

I'm not trying to blow my own trumpet or to canvas opinions about me. I'm just wondering what you think about yourself. How good a person are you to know?

Worth a laugh, will bust my balls to help almost anyone. Can be a tad tedious when I'm off on one.

I think I'm good to know and i'm sure my friends would agree:

I am honest I am very loyal I will never say no to a spontaneous night out (scared of missing something) I am happy to get the beers in, all night if people are skint I love buying presents for people If someone is down about something, i'm there like a shot

I wish i was my friend!

(But according to threads i'm mad - you can't be perfect eh  )

Offering to go out your way and collect me from Glasvegas on your way down to the 'pool was the mark of a top bloke. Well done!

Reminding me several times that "YOU CAN'T SHARE MY ROOM" was the mark of a slightly deluded man who believes that either myself or my burd would want to share with you in the first place. Weirdo!

Actually, I've just remembered, Col, I sent you a veritable email essay for breakfast yesterday.

And then even backed up said correspondance with a secondary email including picture links. Of Aussie birds.

And STILL no response on any of the items therein. Now that's not nice. :deal: :evil4:

Colin has graciously shared his home, booze, food and even his tongue with me, though I declined the offer of the latter.

Can't say I wasn't tempted, though.

I did reply, Al - perhaps email filters are at work again.

Can't think why - nothing at all offensive in there.

People could always nominate someone else as well, couldn't they?

There are many here who have helped others out, with Live CDs, DVDs, beers, lifts, directions, PIN BADGES, flag thefts and piss-takes, etc...

I think it's a jolly nice Community to be a part of :shades:

This place is the dog's bollocks.

I've helped and been helped by loads of others, also by one or two who hardly post, but have always been willing to help via mail or sending stuff to add to me collection.

And Col's a good lad, if it wasnae for him Mr & Mrs Shug wouldnae have been at T In The Park last year......and we wouldnae have had photographic evidence of my wallet to shut that Rocket Baldy up.

I'm good to know because....

I am always buying drinks for my friends(and friends of friends even if I've only just met them.) And I don't let people buy me drinks (unless it's my birthday.) If a friend does buy me a drink I make sure I buy them two back.

If a stranger buys me a drink in spite of me telling them not to. I give that drink to the nearest stranger in front of them.(teaches them to Liston and makes a random stranger happy.)

I buy silly gifts for my friends for no reason other than they are the coolest people I know.

I'm easy on the eye and a good laugh. I'm loyal and fearsly protective of my friends. If my male friends get very, very, very drunk and hit on me I just laugh at them, rather than have a strop or let it affect our friendship.

Mostly I must be good to know or I wouldn't have the amazing friends that I do.

So yeah, good guy by default :D

I don't mind burning a copy of something that some one in the world would love. I've sent stuff to UK, Belgium, Germany, USA, Spain, Austraila, France etc.

If I have some beers in the fridge, I don't mind drinking them with a friend.

I always give my wife an orgasm when we have sex.

I never hit my kids, and I always drive them to their friends if they ask me.
