I wanna do this so i can get these FLAC files that I have onto my iPod, so I need to convert them into MP3.
Whats the best way to do this? I tried downloading a free version of some random converter through google, but it was some crappy demo version that only converted the files up to 3 mins, so the songs that were over 3 mins were cut in half.
i don't wanna pay for one. im sure someone on here must know a free way to convert FLAC to MP3 properly. (Doc?)

I do it like this....
flac -d ./*.flac && lame -b 192 ./*.wav
those of you with Fischer Price OS haave to click the coloured buttons :D
The flac frontend that you get from the flac homepage can export as .wav, then you can take it from there.
IF you get a load of skippy garbage, dowload a slightly older version of flac and all will be well.
IF you have soundforge or wavelab, their batch processing options SHOULD be able to do it as well.
Ive got a program called SoundConverter, and you can basically change anything into anything. think its costs like 5 dollars though. There's another program i have but i have a Mac, so i don't know how much help i can be

FLAC Frontend is free, isn't it?
I use DB PowerConverter these days, but I always convert them to WAV and then do any necessary processing first before converting them to MP3 for the portable noisebox.. I don't keep any MP3s on my computer at all.
'Sake Timbo, I'm pushing 0.5 Terrabytes storage here and I couldn;t handle everything as flac. I always burn the flacs to dvd and keep mp3's on the local drives.
The problem with MP3 comes when people start running it through the codec over and over and over and over again, that's as bad as cassette generation loss.
