Dunno were to ask, and if this is the right place...

Not a fan of ABBA myself, and I don't think the lot of you are either.

But... I have, from a friend, 5 tapes with recordings from Polar Studio. ABBA them self recorded those when they were reharsal for some albums. They wanted to listen to it in their cars, to hear what they could improve for the final recording.

You can call it rehersal, or pre-recordings. The tapes were only for their private use, and as far as I know, no copies are out there.

Question is: Can they be worth some money? I mean, cracy ABBA fans must be all over the world.

Everything is worth money. You just have to find someone stupid enough to buy it. And there are plenty of those. Here in the states a couple of years ago, someone sold a piece of chewing gum that a baseball player had spit out. It went for something like $50, if memory serves...for used freaking gum!! The player wasn't even that great. Based on that scale, ABBA castoff songs must be worth a million dollars.

Did you check eBay out to see how well ABBA items do? Sometimes I'm amazed at what people buy there. It sounds like the item you have would be a good find for an ABBA fan.

I would contact a specialist music dealer. Sounds like the sort of thing that might go well in an auction perhaps; if John Lennons scrawled lyrics on a piece of paper are worth thousands, then I'm sure these demo tapes could be worth a lot, if they are unique.

Perhaps you need to log into Abba Online, if such a thing exists.

Dont forget Abbamania is still going strong, particularly amongst middle-aged women.

I did post on a ABBA forum, this is what I've got so far...

Never seen an ABBA stamp, but we might had some back in the 70's.

Bought some stamps last week. It was flowers on them.
