Thanks to [orange]Missy Orange[/orange] for her 80's one hit wonders thread,
Now it's time to confess to some of your favorites hits at the time.
If it's really dodgy or really great try to find a link so we can all share in the fun.....

Any that weren't one hit wonders?![]()
Not one hit wonders? How bout Hungry Like the Wolf (Duran Duran), In Between Days (The Cure), Chains of Love (Erasure), Don't You Want Me (Human League), Blister in the Sun (Violent Femmes), Strangelove (Depeche Mode), Do It Clean (Echo & Bunnymen), Train in Vain (The Clash), Original Sin (INXS), Rebel Yell (Billy Idol), When Doves Cry (Prince) That's all for now. :)
i dislike 80's as a genre
if I say "touch of grey" by the grateful dead (which is not one of my fave songs btw) it came out in the 80s..but it's not what you all are talking about.

Indeed, as a genre, it's bollocks.
My personal 80's included 2-Tone, Factory, Electro and Acieed House - most of which had hardly anything in common whatsoever.
Actually, no, technically you could call 2-Tone 'the 70's' but like fcuk is it anyone's idea of '70's' muzak.

Point of No Return by Expose was far better. :D
I remember there was The Last Film by Kissing The Pink. This is the only track of that band I know. I loved it. Iam not sure it was in 80's.

Hmm, I find it hard to distinguish between "80s songs" and "one-hit wonders", just because there were so many in the Eighties ![]()
But of the "more than one hit" variety:
It's Still Rock and Roll To Me - Billy Joel (nevermind the artist in question, a decent tune)
Another One Bites the Dust - Queen
Let My Love Open the Door - Pete Townshend
Tempted - Squeeze
Everyday I Write the Book - Elvis Costello
Bonzo Goes to Bitburg - Ramones
used to dj in the late eighties great days indeed. far to many good bands. loads of one hit wonders and ofcourse some pretty sad dress sense, not to mention the shite hair styles. ha ha the mullet. ASDA 4 POUNDS 47 PENCE TOP BUY DOUBLE CD, ALTERNATIVE 80S. SUGAR CUBES 89, BLAMANGE 82.TEARDROP EXPLODES 83 LUV IT .

Owen Paul - Waste of Time
Ha ha! Can't listen to that without thinking of Peter Kay's mobile disco in the middle of a motorway services.
