Headliners "revealed" in tomorrow's NME apparently.
From a guy I know in London, NME comes out on Tuesdays there and apparently it is Kylie, The Killers and Bruce Springsteen.
Thoughts? ![]()

Thoughts? From that, I'd say Glastonbury is dead (though would just about let them off with Kylie).
I thought it was supposed to be Clapton? Or The Who. And Pete Townshend has said he wants to finish their world tour there. Surely the Who (no matter how much i think they suck) would be more marketable and attractive headliners than the Killers?
Then again, you never know!
I do hope its not Clapton, if there was ever a duller musician i've yet to hear them. And the man is so far right wing he makes me look like Arthur Pissing Scargill.
And of course, the actual liklihood it being any of these 3 is somewhat questionable to say the least. Eavis is a mad farmer, his daughter is a clueless hippy and the NME has the reliablilty of an Easyjet flight.
Anything but fucking U2, I distinctly remember Bono's appearance on an Arena Salman Rushdie special as one of the most sick making displays of mutual back slapping it's ever been my misfortune to sit through. And their tunes are shite.
springsteen would have to trim his set down rather a lot to play there.
the killers as hedliners? perlease!
kylie is a shoe in though due to last time she was due to play....
i doubt they will be correct but stranger things happen at sea.
The thing is, just under tow years ago, Eavis himself that he announced that he had booked Outkast to headline saturday night in 05. This turned out to be complete bollocks. Ditto, the year before there was something about The Cure headlining the Sunday, never happened and we got Muse instead.
I do think Kylie is a dead cert, and its likely that The Killers will play, but Springsteen? Who knows.

Want me to ask him?

The guy who runs Glastonbury was on BBC Radio 1 denouncing all this. Said two of them hadn't even been considered, and he said he thought about asking Kylie to headline one day, but he hadn't actually done anything about it.
Or, he had planned all them and now he's shitting it cos everyone knows whose playing a year in advance

Even more cool Dads around. [orange]Ultramega [/orange] Jack. been watching glastonburyfestivals.co.uk/ perhaps there is something that you haven't yet read..
The Pet Shop Boys and Depeche Mode ought to be headlining it with the Cure. And, if New Order were actually releasing anything, I'd say them, too.
Me and Mike will be there ![]()
I can't fucking wait.

Are The Killers headline material? Not in my eyes, they`ve only had 2 hit singles and one ok album. The Boss, not now-maybe 20 years ago. Kylie, fair enough-she had to pull out last year due to illness.
From EFestivals.com:
Glastonbury Festival - Friday 22 June until Sunday 24 June 2007 Pyramid Stage unknown day Cream - rumour Eric Clapton - strong rumour Kylie - strong rumour The Killers - strong rumour The Who - strong rumour unknown stage unknown day Mark Knopfler - rumour
No Prince rumour as yet, which is unusual.
