I need time to think about The Simpsons. Fat Bob was on South Park fyi, and that was what prompted me to post this thread. For South Park, I think the celebrity guests should include Jello Biafra.

I can't speak for SP, but the Simpsons have been running on fumes and the goodwill of past memories for the past three seasons, at the least (if not earlier). I think they've exhausted all the potential celebrity protrayals/parodies, etc. 
The episode where Homer becomes a coach for all those sports stars was really the "jump the shark" moment, as far as celebrity-themed eps go

Since The Simpsons has "jumped the shark" as Tabsy says, I could envision Bundy & Manson doing a musical number on The Simpsons. Thanksgiving? I'd rather not think about what they'd be serving. 
I know Mel Gibson has already been lampooned on South Park, but maybe it's time for an update in light of recent events.

South Park had a good Christmas episode with a fake Charles Manson.
south park's stupid, spoiled whore with paris hilton was one of its finest moments; as was mecha-streisand. i'd like to see jenna jameson teaching sex ed to mr. garrison's class or k.d. lang making an entrance as the mayor's new lover. i bet trey could do a fierce k.d. lang impression.
I think Bush and Blair should pay a visit to South Park and Dick Cheney could go hunting with Ned and Uncle Jimbo. On the Simpsons, something with Samuel L. Jackson might be cool but by the time it would come out the whole "Snakes On A Plane" business will have been over-spoofed. Maybe Stewie from Family Guy could drop by.

I agree 110% about The Simpsons. They could have ended it in 2001 and it would have had the legacy of one of the best shows of all time...but now they're in the hunt for a 20th Season, but the episodes from the last 5 years have mostly been shite, with only a handful of exceptions

That is so sad and pathetic. I never heard of Troy Gentry but I hope he does go to jail and then makes a comeback singing falsetto.

M-G are just the latest in a long line of nauseatingly right-wing country acts that make Adoplh Hitler look liberal by comparison. The fact that this guy killed a bear in captivity is just funny as hell (especially as he got caught!). 
Here's hoping he doesn't get out of prison time (because like all good right-wingers, he don't believe in havin' no lawyer treat him like a special case just 'cause he's the defendant)

That would be cool! He would make a great cartoon character. Homer hanging out with Walken would be hilarious. On South Park, he could be Ned's Russian Roulette playing Nam buddy.
When Troy Gentry gets out of jail, he can go hunting with this famous Bollywood actor. They can exchange soaps-on-a-rope, too. 
I kind of want to see Depeche Mode or the Pet Shop Boys on South Park. The Smashing pumpkins already appeared on the Simpsons and Robert Smith on SP. Although, I'd also like to see Hooky and Barney as South Park characters.
