my 20GB H10 was bought on the cheap from overstock.com. i'm generally happy with it, but sometimes it freezes up for no reason and removing songs from the player is like finding the holy grail. not to mention having to 'renew licenses' (from rhapsody) after a few weeks. i couldn't listen to the damn thing the whole time i was in britain this summer as all of my licenses had expired, damn it!

Since no one is answering your post, I'll say my ipod is great. You can get a good 30 gb 4th gen for a couple hundred now.

I'm currently borrowing an iRiver IPF-700 1GB off a friend. I wiped the music manager and made it a mass storage device. Trying to delete songs off the drive is annoying - for some reason it likes to pretend like there's a given amount of pause it needs to wipe things, but overall I'm pleased with it for it's purpose. I've been using it with a car kit to play music in my tape-only car stereo.
I like the three button design, though, and it its really easy to thumb around for a new song without looking while driving.
i do not own an iRiver but a very good friend of mine does and she has expirienced the same problems but they do become less frequent as time goes on and she has not found an easy way of removing songs yet
if looking for another mp3 i highly recomend the sony NW- A1000 6gb for £110 v.good value and putting songs on it as easy as zip fly(when your sober of course) and removing songs just involves plugging it in for bout 3mins
I'm waiting to see the new Microsoft one to know if my next one will be an iPod again or the new Zune.
Problem is, 4 GB is great, but I'm at a point I would like to put all my stuff on it.
But then again, I only use it on vacation and if I take public transportation, so I hesitate to invest that much money in this.
Got the 6GB Sony "Like.No.Other" player. Its good sound,decent phones and operates exactly like iPod. They run about £150. But worth it. Its half full at about 1300 tunes.

Out of curiosity does it accept iTunes? Have to say that is the main reason I think the iPod is better than others, if you are a super organized person. If it has good software, then the iPod loses some of its edge.

Sony has this very bad audio format of them they used to put everywhere in their discman players.. so I ask!
Yeah it takes everything. I just connect to my laptop,select track from media player and click transfer to player and it copies it across. You can get a 20GB one for an extra £50 too,but its bigger and heavier!
