Does anyone here have an album that when it first came out they absolutely adored, but years later, when revisited, the album sucks a$$?
Thought I'd pop in the Frente! Marvin album, which I loved when it first came out. But now I find the music is totally uneventful and boring, same with the lyrics. What did I ever find interesting in this?
Anyone else have an album like this?

Snow Patrol's latest seemed so good in the rack but sucked so bad upon the only listen I gave it.
Apart from a couple of songs, The Coral's debut is unlistenable to me now. I haven't dug out Interpol's first for ages now, either. Often times, it's more because an album might have a few good songs on it but the filler doesn't help the listening experience and I just lose interest

there are a lot of albums that i got that i thought i was suppossed to like, and i liked one or two songs maybe a little, but didn't really get into the record seriously... years later I am totally bored by these records
music that i got into more on my own, i find that still love and maybe even appreciate/ understand better now
moral... check everything out but trust your own taste some and don't get obsessed with labeling stuff
Off the top of my head...
Oasis - Definitely maybe - the only Oasis I have, the rest was pish from the start.
Blur - Parklife, just cant get into it anymore.. well maybe This is a low, End of the Century perhaps...
Flaming Lips - The Soft Bulletin - god thats an effort, Feeling yourself disintegrate is worth a listen though. But I dread to think what the pink robots one must be like 
Interpol - Bright lights, but it does have 2 good tracks NYC and PDA, just cant be arsed with the rest - never got the 2nd effort.
Depeche Mode`s - Violator.
Matchbox Twenty - Yourself Or Someone Like You (practically unheard of in UK,but sold something like 20 million in the states).
Aww I still love Violator and Interpol's "Turn On The Bright Lights"
But I feel ashamed that,as much as I used To worship Ultravox,I never play them anymore.
Apart from Rage In Eden a bit recently.Thought The Thin Wall is still ace.
If anything the old stuff with Foxx still stands the test of time a bit better.SYSTEMS OF ROMANCE.
Nevermind the Bollocks by the Ses Pistols :(( I love it in my head, love it as an idea too, but I don't play it anymore for a long time.
More often than not, I go forever without listening to an album and "rediscover" it months or years later and find that it still holds up. Much to my surprise, as I wonder what caused me to stop listening to it in the first place. 
This has never been the case with Oasis' Be Here Now :p
I'll add another...and one I'd hate to admit I even listened to (let alone enjoyed) in the first place. Hooters and the Blowjob.

I'm the same way. Probably cos I have too damn many CD's. Except that I wouldn't have bought Oasis on a bet!
