Didn't Jack have a post about this album and said it was mint, or something to that effect? Or am I thinking of Soundgarden? Same difference, anyway.

I was tempted when i first heard it was coming out. Then i heard the single and thought it was pretty dire stuff so i'll give it a miss.

The first album had about three good songs: Like A Stone, Cochise and Show Me How To Live. Not suprisingly, all three were singles.

Downhill since.

let me just say, i fucking love this album.

i think chris is completely wrong. yes, like a stone, cochise and show me how to live are awesome, but then again from that album so are light my way, i am the highway and bring em back alive, just to name a few.

out of exile is awesome in my opinion, my faves being your time has come, be yourself, doesnt remind me, that amazing acoustic version of like a stone is classic. they're the standouts for me, but i really like that album.

revelations is better, IMO. first track revelations is fucking great, its full of awesome tunes and then i got to the standout track: WIDE AWAKE. FUCKING WOW, is all i can say about this track. i can't stop listening to it, fucking awesome, everything about it, vocals, bass, lyrics: its incredible.

original fire was a poor choice for lead single IMO. but still, i like the song.

overall, i really like audioslave and i think revelations is my favourite album from them so far. JHC i would strongly recommend the new album, wide awake is worth the money on it's own.

Cool, I'll be sure to check it ut then.

And i agree, the 1st album kicks ass. For some reason I wasn't that impresed with the singles, but it's one of those albums that when you listen to all of them together they sound soooo much better.

I like out of exile, but think it wasn't as good as the 1st....but that album would be hard to top.

Thanks.

I made the invesment today. After 6 tracks,i'll listen to the rest after work tonight the only weak track is Original Fire so far and even that isn't that bad after another listen to it.

interesting new stuff ..i thought(herd a small bit of the first single) bored to the old dock house barn with previous audioslave albums, not that you care at all... liked his solo carrer 'euphoria morning'- creativly brilliant i thought...-its very touchy feely-probably not your cup of tea-or bag of chips.
