Mum's great; she's open to anything I give her to listen to; she came with me when I was 8 months pregnant and saw UB40; she LUVS them; but she is also open to just about anything. She listens to her 'stuff' but when all of us go 'round, she's more than happy to listen to our stuff - which dates back when; I am the youngest!
When I was younger and lived at home, I went through a heavy reggae period - and it's probably best I don't divulge what my Dad used to shout up the stairs.........
However, now when some of you have talked about Parent's dancing; let's just put it this way; my Dad always looked like he was chewing a toffee - and it wasn't in his mouth!
Bless him........... could always tell a story about my Bro'a engagement party in a nightclub in Brum - Faces I think......where he saw a space in which to dance, then discovered at his cost, it was just a mirror and he broke his glasses...........still chewing a toffee..........
I should probably add; my Mum has 2 all time favourites; one is Hit me With your Rhythm Stick by Ian Dury (class act) and the other is Blue Monday........by erm..........
