I seen them at Durham last week,I have to say they are more of a 'unit' now they're a four piece again. They play loads of the old stuff........and JJ is back singing again.Paul Roberts left about 4 months ago so JJ and Baz Warne share the vocals.
I'm also doing Sheffield,Leeds and Manchester !! ![]()

Nice review in the B'ham Evening Mail tonight as follows: Men in black are still nice n sleazy
Following the release of their stunning new album Suite XV1 a few weeks ago the Stranglers now back to af our peace thrilled a dedicated and eager crowd at the Birmingham Academy. Opening the set with the riff crunching 5 Minutes, JJ Burnel Baz Warne, Dave Greenfield and Jet Black rocked and rampaged their way through an evening of old favourites. and new material. Classics such as Peaches, Always the Sun,and the ever popular Golden Brown were given their deserved airing along side Spectre of Love, Unbroken, and I Hate You. The fun that these four have on stage is still evident even after almost 30 years in the business. Before the end Jean Jacques thanked previous lead vocalist Paul Roberts and wished him all the best for the future, a rare thing in this day and age. The energetic No More Heroes rounded off a show that will be remembered for a long time.
Verdict **** IAN D HALL.
Nice to see a journalist that has done is homework.
Yeah, always up for a beer, will be in touch
