I have to say I currently enjoy the anics of Bender over those of the Simpsons. Bender is rude crude and doesn't care. I also love how they constantly take the piss out of Star Trek.

ah fook I know it is Futurama, but I'm buggered if I know how to edit that.

Not a fair fight really, Simpsons has 18 seasons and Futurama only managed about 4.

On a whole I prefer Futurama because the episode quality was consistent from season to season and it could be genuinely very funny. Bender stole the show of course.

On the other hand, some of the early Simpsons episodes were genius and probably funnier than the best of Futurama. Has to be said that The Simpsons have well and truly run out of ideas these days though; it's utter shite. It's gotten to the stage where the scriptwriters are probably so bored with the same set of characters they're just seeing how stupid they can make it.

Typical thing with American TV though, take something good and run it into the ground for 20 straight seasons. Brit comedy always had the right idea ending things before they got too irritating and were at the top of their game (Fawlty Towers, Office, Father Ted etc.)

Bender is funny, but he's not even the funniest character in Futurama-Zapp Brannigans much funnier.

But Homer is better than both:nod:

I don't think that's why Father Ted ended....

They were finishing the show anyway. Dermot Morgan's death just made it final.

From Wikipedia:

Both the writers and co-stars agree that the third series was always intended to be the last, regardless of Morgan's sudden death.

So my point stands!

Futurama was utter crap. A stab at the evening cartoon, thinking it could do well like the Simpsons. Heard if you watched all the Futurama episodes then you got a free mail-order cap with "dork" written in big pink letters.

Bender is pretty funny, the way he is just a complete arse always cracks me up. But, you can't beat a classic simpsons episode where, alongside the main story, there's a stupid Homer subplot (the one that springs to mind is when he gets the helper monkey...."pray....for....mojo...."

i didn't mind futurama, the last episode was shit but the rest pretty funny.

can't you like Homer and Bender both? Homer's voice acting is always funny even when the show lags, Bender is intentionally similar and funny. they could fire Homer's voice actor and just recycle his lines for a couple of years and it would still be funny. i think they do that half the time anyway.

I thought that Futurama was going to make a comeback also

what was the last episode? there never was an official last episode in the US, it just sort of petered out without finishing the epsides in production...

It's the one where Fry makes a deal with the Robot Devil and writes an opera...personally I didn't think it was shit at all. Comedy Central are supposed to be producing new episodes of Futurama.

Should be coming today, but you have to get it directly from the mailman, so be sure to wait by your box and ask him covertly where your hat package is...he should give it to you then.
