Heard this on the radio, there's a video on the BBC website. Any comment Tim?

Two trees in a public park in Worcester have been cordoned off to protect the public from the danger of falling fruit.

Alan Stuttard from Worcester City Council said the measure was taken after a complaint. Bernadette Kearney reports.

That's nothing - I was nearly hit by a falling stick after lobbing it at a conker tree while out conkering with my lad a couple of weeks ago!

It could have hit my son or anything - I would have sued the farmer who's land I was trespassing on in order to steal conkers.

Don't go outside, kids :nono:

Good thing Isaac Newton wasn't from Worcester. Pansies! Then again, a Caesar wouldn't be quite the same without Worcestershire sauce.

The world's gone mad

Although I hate pears so as far as I'm concerned the felling of pear trees would be no loss to me whatsoever.

Typical Worcester City Council. Muppets. Fruit has this habit of falling off trees if not picked. If the Council were doing their job properly and maintaining all their trees correctly in the first place, there wouldn't be a problem!
