while tidying up my DVD/video collection, i realised i've got duplicate copies of quite a few films, apart from the obvious transfer of Video to DVD, i now own 4 copies of transformers the movie on DVD+1 video, 2 copies of withnail and I +1 video, 3 copies of apoclaypse now+ 1 on video, 3 copies of Terminator 2 on DVD + 3 on video!!

the list goes on.

please tell me i'm not the only one who falls for different extras with each release and remastered picture and sound.

I've got Fear and Loathing on VHS, general UK release and a special US-only release that has tons of extras and a cool book to read. While this isn't particularly lavish in itself, it's worth noting that I was forced to buy a new multi-region DVD player in order to enjoy the US version

I ended up with about ten copies of Wating for the Siren's Call when it was released.

I'd pre-ordered it from Amazon, but saw it in a shop in France on the day it was released and bought it anyway. Then I ordered the US version (with extra tracks) and ordered that from US Amazon. They sent the UK version and when I emailed them to tell them they told me to keep the one I had and sent me another one. When another UK version arrived, so I emailed them again and they sent another UK version. By now I had five copies of the UK version. Then I ordered the Japanese version from HMV.jp because that had some extra tracks on as well.

Good album, though

Just 2?

Methinks there are other people who are greedier than Mrs. Boaty.

DVDs and VHS transfers are one thing. But then you also have 45s, LPs, cassettes, and CDs of classic tunes...

Now that is dedication.
