Is everyone as skeptical as me concerning the Pixies supposedly starting work on a new album together? bad idea....

i love pixies, so i would really like to hear a new album

but i dunno, i'm just worried it could be a bit poo...?

although whatever happens, if they did a new album and it was shit, their classic songs are still there

so yeah, new album please  :thumb:

is this good or bad news? I quite like the Pixies but.... I too have reservations.

only time will tell, I suppose...

A good sign is that Frank Black and Kim Deal still don't seem to get along that well - a bit of friction always injects some energy into proceedings, rather than band reunions where everybody is backslapping and saying in what a happy place they all are. But yes, I have my reservations, esp given Frank's solo output of late - Honeycomb anyone? Even the last Breeders album "Title TK" was pretty lifeless.

They did a new song at a couple of the gigs in 2004, but swiftly dropped it. No objection to hearing some new studio material, but would rather have some more UK gigs.

Don't think i'd bother listening to it if it happened.

Doolittle was the best pixies album.

I always wonder when the hell the Rolling Stones are going to call it a day. Keef Richards falling out of a palm tree....

goodbye ruby tuesday who could hang a name on you when you change with every new day still i'm gonna miss you.....

Indeed, thought they announced a year back they weren't gonna bother recording, just playing live instead?
