Please help - micro memory card advice needed!

I am very frustrated (but that's another story!!) - anyway, I have a micro memory card and have copied some music files onto the card.

My problem is that I cant get my mobile phone to read the card, although I can stick the card in any computer and it will work - any ideas on how I can play my music on my mobile before I launch the thing out of the window.

Thanks xxxx

Sounds like the phone either uses a proprietry format, or only pretends to use standard cards but actually uses expensive own-brand ones that cost 15 times as much as legitimate ones.

Is there an option in the phone to format the card? If so, try formatting it in the phone then reading it in the PC.

I went thru all this with my Motorola V3i. Some phones will not recognize Micro SD cards if they are above a certain size, I tried sticking a 2GB card in my RAZR and it wouldn't read it, it will read a 1GB card though.

use google to find out what capacity card your phone will recognize.

Well - thanks (for nothing lol). I have found a willing victim (male of course) to resolve it for me - he'll probably bugger it up!! (not that im cynical or anything)

I cant believe that something smaller the a one pence piece costs £28 (1g - bargain!) - shame it doesnt work lol.

Anyway I will try to format it, and then go through the same long process yet again.

Thanks all xxxxxxxxxx

Dunno where you bought it from, but obviously not www.pricestorm.com . Look up your phone online at the manufacturers website for details of the type of card you need and the max capacity it will handle. You should also find out from there how to locate files on it.
