....about some election or other in the poor excuse for a democracy that is the US. Most of them not even managing to attract double-figure responses.

In the interests of board ettiquette could you condense them into one thread? The rest of us aint interested in the finer details of your dull two-party elction system. We don't know who you're talking about and we don't care.

Even better, could we not set up an American forum like they have done for the French, Germans, Slavs etc?

Bored of Glasgow.

Don't sit on the fence Graham, say what you think

it's an international board suck it

(9 threads making fun of religion is ok tho?) (9 threads making fun of americans too?)

being an american, i'm not very happy with this country and the way its being run, destroyed, and really- I would rather have been born elsewhere, somewhere where people actually take care of their own people and stop worrying about the state of other countries-because how in the hell can you take care of other people if you can't take care of your own. strong economy my ass....letting people come here illegally, paying them under the table and letting them deplete whats left of health care, spread disease(despite free health care),raising the crime rate even more and reproduce like fucking rabbits-i don't think so-not to mention-take away jobs that they say people who were born in the states won't do- i wouldn't want a thread forum for america either. this is one of the major problems and has been for years. i grew up around some illegals and i was cursed at because i told the truth and had a difference of opinion on another message board. bush-has to be the lousiest president we've had yet. i could go on, but other people have said it before and needs no repeating.

being called an xenophobe was funny- learned something new....

"Suck it" !!! Ha!!! Suck what? Your lardy arse?

I doubt whether the last UK General Election inspired more than one thread on this board. And we've at least got an attempt at a multi-party, multi-ideology system. What the f**k makes you think the rest of us want to read 8 threads about which 50-something guy in a suit beat some other 50-something guy in a suit in Wyoming? Christ even the other Yanks aint interested cos most of the threads aint even got past six posts!!!

And 9 threads making fun of Americans would be fine if you took my advice and started your own American forum. Then you wouldn't be hear to be offended.

I don't give a fuck about what you want to read.

To be fair, most of the topic's could've been in one thread.

Maybe. Maybe not. Haven't thought about it that much. But realistically, what are the odds that somebody would give careful consideration to whether an existing thread would be appropriate for a post when they started a thread?

As far as what Glas Vegas "wants to read," I couldn't care less. He's always pissing and moaning about how *he* thinks the forum should be. And. I. Don't. Care.

If you don't like the threads, G, don't fcuking read them. Same rule it's alweays been.

The odds are very slim if you're a typical arrogant Yank desparate to sound enlightened and informed by talking in great depth, on a public forum, about a laughable election/legislative system that 90% of posters have NO FUCKING INTEREST IN.

Most people familiar with how this forum operates would realise that spamming it with eight threads in one day relating to a minority interest is a bit inappropriate.

The Shed worked in shifting the inane ramblings of the forum's resident window-lickers into the one manageable space. I'm sure this idea of mine to create an American's only forum would be equally successful.

Why don't we just fuck off to another forum.

One with more selective membership criteria?

One without the fucking :evil4: smiley and bans people for being boring.

How about a Brit only forum?

Then the rest of the world won't have to be bored to tears with reading about how drunk you lot are, or how your hangovers are progressing, or how your footie team is great and the other footie team is shite...

Once again: Random people make random threads. There's no conspiracy to flood the forum with threads on one topic-- excepting the flood of shed threads we had-- and no organization insofar as people *thinking* about whether a post topic would fit into another already exisiting thread. Random people make random posts. It's a forum. And here's the kicker: The forum doesn't revolve around you. It's not about what YOU find interesting. It's not about what YOU want to read.

Once again: If you don't want to read a thread, then don't read it. Simple, really. You have no interest in a thread? Great. Then DON'T FUCKING READ IT.

We're all so low-brow here in the UK it must really be depressing for an intellectual like yourself with your reasoned, "straight-from-TVnews/Google/undergraduate collegebook" analysis of local and global affairs.

Mabye if you were actually shagging, or getting pissed or following a "footie" team you wouldn't be such an objectionable little man.
