Been messing around, and somehow (ahem), I've turned on a sound that sounds as if I a) am swimming underwater or b) I'm at an 80's disco................

I've tried to figure it out, but hey, I'm dumb.

Help?

Did you install some filters?

I never saw that feature, that's for sure.

I just clicked on something whilst Media player was playing 'in the background' now for the life of me, I can't turn it off..................it's driving me nuts! A window did come up saying 'hallway' I just ignored it.....now I can't find what I bloody clicked on.......doh.

Winamp VLC Even BSplayer ( tho last time I installed it, it installed some spyware).

running round the harddrive with a pin, converting the binary to pictures in your head is preferable to WMP.FFS, even Digi, who is AOL-cattle knows better

you've swithced in the equalizer or the filters, look around the menu for such things, and see if u can turn em off.

if it's still boned tomorrow night I will use windows remote assistance to take over your PC and fix it!

I somehow lost a .dll file to WMP and the damn thing does not work, so I use QuickTime Player now. Searching for another alternative.:read:

try a google for ll archive.

are you SURE it's lost? Or has WMP simply refused to find it? (most MS software can't find it's own arse with both hands, a map, a compass, and a GPS receiver) if YOU can find it, you can either sarcastically drop it on wmp's icon, which will either work, ir prove what a fucktard it is, OR, find regsrv32.exe and drag and drop the dll on that, which will in theory, re-register it with windows. So may codecs and particularly MS compnents are so badly kludged that registry cleaners and things like that think their reg entries are junk and delete them.

Just go to MicroSoft Update and Download WMP 9. The current one is 10 but 9 is much better for burning and making MP3 cd's.
