Awesome! Extremely under-rated. The woven tapestry of muscial sound is mind blowing. They are definately in my top 3 of favorite bands.

Fine band indeed.Mate of mine introduced me to them in The Brunswick in Middleton ages ago when the got back together again.The Brunnie was holding a jam night,where everyone just turns up with their own instruments and perform in the snug,and Mark and Dave performed a short set....in the snug!! I held a microphone to Dave's digeridoo.(!?!) Got to see them twice before they split up again,one was at the Academy 1,which they filmed.And I'm on it looking a right dick during SPLITTING IN TWO.
Actually,just read this on the Chameleons official website.Mark Burgess and his new band BIRD are coming over for a benefit gig in Middleton Civic Hall.
I love the Chameleons! They're one of my favourite bands. Definitely underrated, and should have been much bigger than they were.
If you haven't listened to them much before, it does kind of take a while for the music to sink in. The first several times I listened to "Second Skin" I thought it was a bit dull, but then weeks later I realised, Holy crap, this song is amazing!
Strange Times is their best album imo. "Tears" is exquisite.
